"Jessica?" He shook me by my arm, "Earth to Jessica. Hellooo?"
I snapped out of my thoughts of college and life, to see Callum's brown eyes staring into my aquamarine eyes.
"You really do have beautiful eyes, you know that, right?" I blushed. "You like when I compliment you? Well, I'm just telling the truth, you beautiful girl." He kissed my lips gently, making me want him a little.
"Shut up!" I giggled and gently pushed him by his shoulder, he smiled at my happiness. "Callum, my eyes are my best feature! Also, I'm really not beautiful." I said with a flick of my hair.
"Hunny," he cupped my chin with his hand and turned my face towards his so I was looking into his eyes, "you are beautiful, okay? Don't ever ever let anyone tell you otherwise. You're perfect, okay? You can hold me against saying this, because it's true. You are. Nobody will ever change that."
Again, I blushed and could not stop smiling. How did this even happen?! How did we even get to this point where this gorgeous, married man who I adored so much, was suddenly in a hotel bed with me telling me how perfect I was to him and how gorgeous I was. This had to be a dream.
I pinched my arm.
"Thinking this is a dream, hey?" He chuckled.
"How did this happen?" I turned to him. "How did we suddenly get from strangers, to me being your tour guide, to us being like this? I'm not complaining or anything, I just wonder how it happened."
He continued staring into my eyes and tilted his head, as if he were thinking.
"Well, I fell in love with you and I could tell you were already in love with me from the moment you saw me," he laughed "At first, I thought you really were a tour guide, then I realised you weren't, because, well, you just didn't act like one. Besides the fact that I lied about a tour guide."
"Oh." I blushed and held my head down, "I'm sorry." He smiled and tickled me to make me smile.
"Baby, it's fine. Really." He looked deeply into my eyes, then continued, "I'm glad you did what you did, because it means I got to spend time with you, know the real you and know everything about this beautiful town. Because of that, we're where we are now. Screw what anyone else thinks, I've never felt this way about someone before, and it's an amazing feeling. I want to be with you, Jess. I know there's a bit of an age difference, but who cares? Age is but a number. I'm 28, you're what? 19? It doesn't--"
"I'm actually 16," I interrupted, "but thank you for the compliment saying I look older than I am."
"16? Really? Wow. Oh well, whatever. Like I said, age is but a number. Jess, listen carefully to my next words as they mean a lot to me."
"I'm listening, Cal."
"I think I'm in love with you."
"How? We've known each other, what? One day? What about your wife, Sarah and your children, Oscar and Lilly? How would they feel?" I stammered.
