Cameron's POV
I miss him. I still cry over him. And it's been almost a year since we broke up.

I wonder if he still cries over me.

I don't know why I broke up with him. We were so happy together.

We were together for almost two years. But I told him I needed some space.

I've never cheated on him. And he's never cheated on me. We were perfect together.

Except for our occasional arguments. But every good couple argues over something from time to time.

Days turned to weeks.
Weeks turned to months.
Months turned to a year.

And I just didn't build up the courage to ask him out again. Even if I did, it's been such a long time.

I hit my head with my fists. "STUPID CAMERON YOU'RE SO STUPID!

I started crying.

This is what I hate about the night. It's when your thoughts try to ruin you.

But when I was in a relationship with Aaron, I held him close when we slept together. And these thoughts couldn't get to us.

There hasn't been a night where all I think about is him.

"Aaron I miss you so much." I murmured to myself before falling asleep with tear stained cheeks.

***
Beep beep beep

I reached over and turned off my alarm.

I got up and walked into my bathroom. I started getting ready for the day.

I took a shower and besides my teeth. Then I went back into my room.

I called up my friend Taylor. He picked up as soon as I called.

"Hey wassup?"

"Nothing much. You want to hang out?"

"I'm already hanging out with someone."

"Maybe the both of you can come over."

"Cameron I don't think-"

"Come on, it'll be fun."

"Okay, if you say so."

He hung up.

I looked around my room. I really need to clean up. I started fixing my bed and picking up my dirty clothes.

Then I walked into my living room and made everything look nice.

I heard knocking on the door.

I walked over to the door and opened it.

"Hey Taylor."

"Hi."

"So who did you bring with you?"

Then someone walked up behind him.

Someone who I've been crying over. Someone who I've been losing sleep over.

"Hi Cameron."

I slammed the door shut. How could I not have figured that out? Of course they were hanging out. They always hang out.

Then I realised how rude that was.

I was about to open the door again but I heard them whispering.

"I knew he didn't want to see me."

"Stop saying that."

"But he needs his space."

"You've been giving him space for a year."

I opened the door and they stopped whispering. I cleared my throat.

"Come in."

They sat down on the couch and I closed the door. They were both so quiet. "What do you guys want to do?"

Taylor looked at Aaron. "What do you want to do?" He asked. Aaron shrugged.

"You guys can turn on the TV if you want." Taylor reached for the remote.

"I'll be right back." I said before I walked down the hallway and into my room. I started pacing back and forth.

"This can't be happening."

I took a deep breath and sat down on my bed. "Cameron can I use the bathroom!?" Taylor yelled from the living room.

"Okay!" I yelled back.

I walked back into the living room and it was only Aaron sitting on the couch.

I built up enough courage to sit down next to him.

"How's life?" I asked.

"It's good. What about you?"

"I'm doing fine." Not really.

Taylor came back from the bathroom.

"You guys are actually-" He stopped himself. "Never mind."

He sat back down next to Aaron. It was quiet except for the TV playing.

"I really missed this." Aaron said.

"Missed what?" I asked.

"Being able to hang out together." He responded.

I stayed silent.

"Aaron, we always could've hung out." I said.

"You've never answered any of my texts or any of my phone calls ever since we...you know."

"Oh right. Sorry."

Why am I so fucking stupid?

"But it was kind of hard to talk to you. I didn't know what to say at the time." I said.

Aaron took a deep breath. "Cameron, that's okay."

"Aaron I know. I'm sorry. It's just that- wait what?"

"It's okay."

"It's okay?"

"I'll leave you guys alone. Cameron, you can drive Aaron home." Taylor said before running out the door.

I heard him start his car and leave the driveway.

"We have a lot of catching up to do." Aaron said then smiled.

"Yeah, we do."
