Will pushed the door open farther so we could get a good look into the room. It was as if a tornado had torn through the room. Will tried vlocking my view trying to protext me from the horror. I finally pushed my way past him and took in the disaster. There was paper and all types of material strewn across the room. I see a few busted spots on the tan couch. As I take a closer look I suddenly realize those "spots" were bullet holes. From what I could tell there were two different types of guns fired. One 12 gauge home defense rounds and the other basic military grade pistol rounds. The only way I knew what gun was fired, the military grade pistol was the only gun HearthStone owned. Believe me. I searched his entire house while trapped in that hell whole. The home defense rounds I wasn't so sure about. It was only when I walked behind the couch that I noticed it. Blood.
"Kenzie. What is it? What did you find? Oh my- is that........Blood?" Will asks walking up behind me.
"Who's is it? Lord, please no! No no no no no. Please! CARLOS! CARLOS! Its time to go!" I begin yelling my voice coming out hoarse.
Everything begins to slow down as my knees buckle beneath me. You could audibly hear my heart breaking. I mentally begged and pleaded that my best friend was okay. I can barely see anything through the blur of my unshed tears. I hear something crash behind one the doors causing me to sprint toward the noise. Will instantly grabs me by the waist pulling me back to him. He knows how much danger can lurk behind that single door. He slowly lets go and wraps his hand around my small one. Quickly and silently we crept to the closed door. Once there I pushed Will out of the way so I could do the safety knock. Once-twice-once thrice.
"Please Carlos be in there." I whisper praying it was him and not the HearthStone twins.
