Aram
My boots kicked up dirt with every step I took towards the Vice Capital of Solas. I knew very well that if I was late, Taylor would assuredly kill me. I shaded my face and noted that the sun was nearly at noon, so I figured I would break for lunch. Just as I felt the sandwich I whipped up that morning, I spotted a group of Fire Demons. I froze and counted six bright red, clawed creatures gathered together, knowing that a fight between us would be inevitable. Their two horns bent up, and they carried jagged swords as red as their skin. However, I wasn't too worried about them. I'd spent the entire 18 years of my life training and fighting, so I saw this as any other confrontation. I took a breath and figured with my skill I could probably just rush at them when I noticed something strange on the ground at their feet. There was a girl. She was young, about my age, with tan skin and light blue hair. She was wearing white a long white shirt and pants that stopped at her shins. They were dust-covered and were torn and burned.
Ugh, really? I thought, That makes this so much harder. Although, at least I have an excuse if I'm late. In a moment, I had a crazy idea that could just work.
I began to walk casually towards them and waved. "Oh no!" I taunted, "Demons! It's all over for me, looks like I'm done for." They all turned to face me, but besides that they did not move.
"Really Aram? That's your big plan, you dummy?" said a little voice from my white coat's breast pocket.
My eyes looked downwards at the voice in my pocket, but the fairy was still out of sight. I whispered, "Just give it a minute..." Then one of the Demons smirked. It had yellow fangs as sharp as daggers; suddenly, they all charged me. I grinned and reached behind my back to pull my two white iron swords from my crossed scabbard.
By the time I had my swords at my sides the Demons were upon me. They brought all six of their blood red blades to my chest. I crossed both blades and brought them up in breakneck speed causing the Demons to stumble back. Before they were out of reach of my blades, I cut one across the chest with my right sword and stabbed another one through the head. Fire spewed from the Demons' wounds and in a flash the two Demons turned to nothing but two small flames floating above the ground.
The remaining Demons recovered from the block and I gripped the hilts of my blades. "So, who wants some more?" I challenged.
"Rarg!" one of them cried and charged at me recklessly. He swung his sword from the right towards my chest; I quickly ducked and put both my swords through his chest. "Argh!" it cried out as it was reduced to flame.
I looked up at the remaining three, they were running to save their two fallen comrades I defeated earlier from true death.
"Oh no you don't!" I yelled. "Oh no you don't!" I yelled. My fingers moved under my white coat and I felt a cold, steel blade between two fingers. I fixed my hand on my knife and softly gripped it's sharp edge. I brought my arm back and let it fly. The knife was on course, but another Demon stretched out and blocked it with his sword. The Demon that was the target of my knife touched the tiny flame, and the flame vanished.
I can't let that happen again. I cursed myself for not being quick enough as a red blade shot right out at my face and a dark mouth breathed it's black breath on me. I through my body back as quickly as I could, but the red iron grazed my cheek. I threw my arms back and did a back-handspring to get away from the Demon.
I could feel a small stream of blood flow down my face. Well, this isn't good. I touched my cheek. I felt a warm liquid on my fingers. It burned a little, but it wasn't more than a scratch. I raised my swords at them and prepared myself for the next assault.
