Beverly is 16, only a few weeks from her 17th birthday. She lives in a small town known as Harthwright, Oregon. Her parents are doctors at the local hospital and she attends Harth High School, the only one in their small town. Everything sounds normal yet there's much more to it than that. Each person has a two-part tattoo and only their true soul mate possesses the second half. The tattoo only appears on your wrist once you turn 17 years old. Now as expected from any teens, these promises don't keep any of the teenagers from dating before or even after their tattoos form. It's never guaranteed when one will meet their soulmate. However it usually happens before the age of 20. Regardless of silly relationships with someone other than ones soul mate, the love from their mate will always win.
