Books. I was reading a book about the worlds greatest architects for about three hours on my bunk in the Athena Cabin, when Percy peeked through the door with a slight smile on his face and said "Me, Leo, and Piper are going out for swordplay."
I could tell that he was trying to get me to come with him....but I was on the thirteenth chapter, and things were getting really interesting....so I decided to wave him off. "Please, Percy, not now...". Then, he decided to grab the book out of my hands, and held it in front of me, trying to taunt me. I understood that he wanted to spend some time with me and the others, but tonight...I just wasn't in the mood. "Percy" I said with a stern voice. "Give me back my book." Percy smiled and pulled the book away from me whenever I tried to grab it. "Oh, come on, Annabeth, you've been lazing around with these books for the whole day!" he whined.
Technically, I wasn't *lazing around*, because reading is considered productive by-( ....I'm trailing off again, aren't I? )
ANYWAY, me and Percy stood around, facing each other for what felt like forever, until I realized that...I really needed to catch up on my fighting skills....and I guessed that I could've gone for a few underwater kisses that night....so I went with Percy and the others to train in the Arena.

In the Arena, Percy and Leo fought each other with spears, and tried to test their powers against each other, while in the meantime, me and Piper were fighting each other with simple swordplay. "Annabeth...be a dear, and let me beat you, hmm? It would warm my heart if you did that for me..." said Piper with a kind voice. I chuckled. "Piper, I'm female. Did you really think that charmspeak would work on me?". Piper shrugged as she blocked one of my attacks. "It was worth a try..." she said.
We kept trying to cut each other with our celestial bronze swords until I ended up kicking Piper in her ankle, and tripping her up. I held my sword to her throat as she laid on the ground, holding her leg in pain. Piper held up her arms in defeat. "Alright." She said reluctantly. "You win".
I looked over to Percy and Leo. They were literally shooting fire and water at each other. "Piper, can I borrow your dagger?"I asked. "Sure. Why not?" Piper answered. I threw the dagger at Leo, so that it would cut his arm deep enough for him to lose concentration. Leo grunted in pain, and stopped using his fire powers. Percy shot him with a huge blast of water, leaving him coughing and holding his arm in pain on the ground. "Godsdammit, Annie!" He shouted. "Why did you have to do that!?" I walked over to Leo, and helped him up. "Sorry, Valdez, but I didn't want my boyfriend to lose...".
We heard a clapping sound from one of the seats in the arena. It was Calypso. "I'm definitely not going to admit the fact that Leo could've won, but I honestly think that you all did great!"
Leo crossed his arms in front of me. "Well, at least I've got someone to root for me...". I rolled my eyes at that comment...
"Hello, Annabeth." said a voice behind me that I recognized to be Nico's. I turned around to see that Hazel and him had shadow traveled right behind me. I sighed. "What is it, Nico?...".
