Chapter 1

Regina Mills just moved into her new apartment, in her hometown. She loved it, it was nice and she had great memories of growing up there. She had no idea that her ex boyfriend,
Killian Jones would be in the same building. Killian was a very nice guy, and he heard a woman moved into the apartment across from him but also had no idea who it was. However, he decided he would bring flowers to his new neighbor, to welcome her. Killian knocked on the door,

Regina's POV

I was not expecting anyone, Selena isn't coming to check out the apartment until the weekend. But I open the door.. What the hell? I could tell I was blushing, that doesn't happen often.. "Regina.." Killian said shocked clearly, "Oh.. wow.. Killian, hi." I said, "You're the woman that moved in across from me?.." Killian said. I couldn't tell really if he is happy or disappointed. "Apparently." I said with a smile. Out of all of the places in this city I choose to move into the same building as Killian Jones? He aged nicely, damn he's hot. God he still wears black leather, what was I thinking leaving this? We stared at each other, "You look stunning, love." Killian said, "Thank you.." I said, I looked down. I don't want to see those sparkling blue eyes, They remind me of how stupid i am. I can't have him. He won't want me, who would want the person that broke their heart? And a guy as sexy as him has to have girlfriend. He just said I look stunning, why can't he be cold like any other ex would? To make me glad that i said goodbye, god i regret leaving, i always have. He's so charming.
He hugged me, Oh God he smells so damn good..
"Quite a coincidence, same building." Regina said, "Aye, it is.. these are for you, I guess." Killian said, they both felt sort of awkward.

Killian's POV

Bloody hell, I didn't think she could get more beautiful. She looks so grown up now. Selena told me she'd come back. It took her long enough. I finally spoke, "Liam owns a bar not too far from here. He married Emilie.. you should come by and we can all catch up and hang out like the before". Regina smiled back at me, I've missed that incredible smile..

Regina couldn't believe he'd just asked her out. It wasn't really a date of course, since it'd be their whole crew from high school. "Sure.. Selena still lives here, she told me about liam's bar before." Regina said, "Perhaps you can invite her too, it'll be the whole crew." Killian said raising his brow, Regina smiled. "Yeah." She said...

Flashback, 10 years ago -

Killian and Regina had been dating since sophomore year, and they were about to graduate high school. Killian was going to a near by college, Regina had been accepted into the same one, but also another one. Stanford university, very far away, and she hadn't told him yet. She wanted to go to the same college as Killian, she really loved him. But her mother was rather pushy and insisted she attend Stanford. Since she herself did, and her oldest daughter, Selena, refused. Regina had been convinced to go, she just needed to tell everyone. Liam and Selena were the same age, 21, they were oldest of the crew. And then Killian, Regina, and Emilie were all 18 and graduating. It was the day before Regina was leaving for California. "Guys I decided that I'd rather go to Stanford.." Regina said when they were all together. They all looked at her shocked, "Don't let Mum control you, Regina." Selena said, "She isn't, I'm leaving tomorrow. This is what's best for my future." Regina said, "And what of our future?" Killian said, "Killian..." Regina sighed, and looked at him with tears in her eyes. "Don't!" He said and stormed out. Regina followed him, "Killian, I'm sorry..." She said grabbing his arm gently, he stopped and looked at her. "Why the bloody hell would you wait until the day before you leave to tell me?!" Killian asked, "Because I didn't know how to tell you and I knew you'd react like this this!" Regina yelled. Killian walked off, she caught up him again, "I love you killian." Regina said, with tears going down her face. And he kissed her, He had tears in his eyes too. "Prove it, stay." Killian said, "I can't, Killian." Regina sighed, Killian shook his head and walked away. "Killian!" Regina yelled but he kept going, he turned back, "if our relationship means anything to you, you'll meet me in our spot, tomorrow night. You won't leave." Killian said and left. Regina went home, she had Killian's leather jacket on still, it was big on her but she loved it. She was crying and packing, "Regina.." Selena said coming in. "You don't have to do this.." Selena said, "Yes, I do, Selena." Regina said,"Mother can't force you to go.. I didn't go." Selena said, "And you can't force me to stay! Unlike you, Selena, I won't do any and everything I can to piss mom off!" Regina said. Regina sighed and Selena rolled her eyes. "Enjoy California, little sis!" Selena said leaving. Killian went to the spot on the beach where he asked Regina to meet him and waited there until dark, Liam showed up with Emilie, and sat next to Killian holding hands. Killian rarely cried, especially in front of his brother, but he was a little bit then. "She's not coming..." Killian sighed, "Come on, Killian let's get home." Liam said, "What the hell happened?" Killian asked, "She let Cora get into her head." Liam said, Selena came up to them, and sat on the other side of Killian. "She'll be back, Killian. You two are meant to be and I know it." Selena said...

Present day -

Regina went to liam's bar with everyone that weekend. Liam was really protective of Killian, so he wasn't so sure about this. "Hey." Regina smiled, "Hello, love." Killian said, Regina and Selena had made up also after all that happened. "How was California?" Liam asked, "Liam.." Killian said, "What? I'm just curious." Liam said, Killian rolled his eyes. "It was nice.. I guess, but boring sort of." Regina said, "Well you didn't have to go.." Emilie said. "Wow, anyone else want to jump on me while Liam and Emilie are at it?!" Regina said, "No ones jumping on you, we're just being honest." Liam said. "Should've known there would be some stupid argument." Selena said, "Can we just stop please?! Bloody hell! We all used to be best friends." Killian said, Regina smiled at him, as did Selena, Liam and Emilie looked at each other and Emilie sighed, "Regina, can I get you a drink?" Liam asked, "Sure, thanks.. But I...." Regina said, "You don't do rum, I remember." Emilie said smiling..
"How's life treating you, Killian?" Regina questions, curious as to if he was single. "Mm, well I'm the principal of bayview now. I have a four year old daughter..." He explains as he sips from the glass. Dammit. He's married. "Oh... That's. Great." Regina sighed.
