Friends? (Kenma Kozume x Reader) (Haikyuu!!)

Chapter Five

The next day Kenma helped you get ready for school. You two had only known each other for three days and you're already boyfriend and girlfriend. For Kenma, it made him really happy. For you, you didn't know what to say, he had helped you out so much. And now you couldn't play volleyball, due to your twisted ankle. But it didn't stop you from watching their practices.

After a few days your ankle healed up but you still shouldn't play volleyball for a few more days according to the doctor. You found yourself wandering around the Nekoma campus with Kenma and Kuroo, it was a cloudy day but the news said there would be no chance of rain. "Can we head back to the cafeteria? I think I left one of my notebooks there..." Kuroo rubbed the back of his neck as Kenma sighed. "Let's go." You laughed, putting your arms around your two favorite guys shoulders. You felt Kenmas arm snake around your waist, you blushed at first but smiled after.

"So (F/n), how long have you and Kenma been together?" He grinned down at Kenma. "I think about two weeks now." "You think?" Kenma gave you a worried look but you replied with giving him a kiss on the nose. "If I remember correctly, you're Kenmas first girlfriend!" Kuroo smirked as Kenma blushed and looked away. "Kenma's my first boyfriend..." You blushed also but laughed. As the three of you reached  the cafeteria Kuroo ran in to get his notebook, which he found on one of the tables.

After a day at school you accompanied Kuroo and Kenma to the gym. You waited with the other guys as they went to go change. "(L/n)-senpai!" Lev came running up to you, his silver hair bouncing up and down. "What's up?" "Will you be able to play today?" You shook your head. "The doctor told me not to play volleyball fro the next few days." You pointed to your ankle as Lev nodded ad sat beside you.

"(F/n)-chan!!" Yamamoto came running too. "What is it?" The ace caught his breath before speaking. "I heard that you and Kenma are dating!" He clenched his fists in excitement as your cheeks went red. His loud voice caught everybody's attention. "Is it true, (L/n)-senpai?" Lev bubbled next to you.

"It's true." Kenma suddenly came in the gym with Kuroo. "She's mine and only mine." He said loud enough for everyone to hear as he hugged you from behind. Everyone started going crazy. "I CAN'T BELIEVE IT" "THEY'RE DATING" "OUR PRECIOUS SETTER HAS GROWN" "KENMA'S A LUCKY MAN" "I WANTED TO ASK HER OUT." They kept yelling as they crowded you and Kenma. "You guys wouldn't believe what I caught them doing when I went over to Kenmas place." Kuroo teased, ruffling up Kenmas pudding hair.

"Sh-Shut up!" You barked at Kuroo, who was laughing at your tomato red cheeks. "Oy! Everybody get huddle up!" Coach Nekomata suddenly entered the gym, thankfully he caught every ones attention. He stood next to you at the bench as everyone else sat in front of you and Coach Nekomata. "We'll be having a joint practice with Karasuno High in a few days." He placed his fingers at his chin. The others started whispering to each other.

"Karasuno High? As in the one in Miyagi?" You asked, everyone went silent. "Yes, our school and theirs has been at a little rivalry for some time, do you know Karasuno?" You nodded. "My school has had joint practice with them as well when I was in my first year." Everyone started going like "Oohh". Coach Nekomata nodded and explained the rest. You were excited to visit the country, as well as the rest of the team.

On the day of the trip to Karasuno, you woke up early and had a quick breakfast with Kenma. The team would be staying at a hotel which was only a walk away from Karasuno. You and Kenma locked up and headed to school, the sun hadn't even rose yet. The stars were still visible and you spent your time looking up at them while Kenma walked beside you, shoulders almost touching. Your hands moved a bit and accidentally touched his.

Kenma looked over at you as you looked at him. As you looked into each other eyes you noticed Kenma getting closer. He held your hand and pulled you into a quick kiss. You smiled into the kiss and kissed him back. Suddenly a flash of light made you flinch at the brightness of it, so did Kenma.

"Oops...should have turned off the flash." Kuroo stood there, his phone out as he awkwardly grinned at you and Kenma as you broke the kiss. "You little..." You were about snatch Kuroos phone but h backed up and chuckled. Kenmas arms wrapped around you to stop from doing so. "It's okay." He whispered sweetly. You sighed and continued walking.

As the three of you arrived at the school gates you saw the rest of the volleyball club already about to enter the bus you were going to take to Karasuno. Yamamoto was waving and jumping up and down. "You seem quite alive this morning." You giggled as Kenma yawned and rubbed his eyes. "So cute!" You thought. "Let's go." Coach Nekomata said as a middle aged man approached.

"Ah you must be (F/n) (L/n), I'm Coach Manabu Naoi." He let out a hand to shake and you shook it. "I would have met you a few days ago but I was quite busy, I'm glad I can finally meet and see what the former ace of Orishima has to offer to our team." He proudly said as he boarded the bus after you and Kenma. Luckily you and Kenma got to sit next to each other. It was a bit cold in the bus and you cursed yourself for not bringing a jacket.

"Here." Kenma wrapped his arms around you as he leaned against the armrest, lifting up his legs onto the seat and also wrapping them with yours. You smiled as you leaned against his warm chest. Kenma then nuzzled his forehead into the crook of your neck, which tickled at first but made you feel at ease. From there the two of you fell asleep. Little did you know Kuroo, Yamamoto, and Lev were busy taking videos and pictures.

I feel like I can actually finish this story :3 I'm doing this because Kenma is my husbando and it will never change XD I think the previous chapter are too serious I need to add in some fluff or cute stuff.
