Chapter 2

Maria’s P.O.V

Meanwhile, Fred and I were walking towards Ollivanders shop when I heard a soft hooting noise.

“Wait a minute Fred, I need to go somewhere.” I let go of Fred’s hand (I held Fred’s hand only as a friend because that is how he only saw me as), and walked towards the animal shop. I found what I was looking for, a beautiful white small barn owl. Instantly I fell in love with her and realized I needed money. I had to walk away to go and get some money. I took a hold of Fred’s hand again and pulled him towards the bank.

“I need money, I want to get something” He looked at me weirdly,

“What do you mean?”

I looked at him funny.

“You will have to wait a see.”

“Oh please Maria, Tellllll me”

I gave him a stern look.

“No Fred. Wait and see.”

He pouted, which made me almost melt. Almost. It didn’t quite work.

“Nice try Fred, not going to work.”

“But it worked before, why not now?”

“Because, I’m being stubborn.”

“What? What is stubborn?”

“A muggle term. Don’t worry ok?”

I finally saw Gringotts, I quickly let go of Fred’s hand and ran towards the building. That was when I walked into a person. I fell over. It was Draco.

“Oh look what the wind just blew in.”

“Oh bugger off Malfoy.”

“Watch your language, Potter.” He gave me his sternest look. I so wanted to knock it off his face when he pulled me up.

“And watch out for my mother and father. They are after the Potter’s and once they get you, you’re dead.”

“Your threats don’t bother me. Now let me go.” He still had a hold of me. His face was too close for comfort and it scared me. He let go quickly and I walked off. Quickly and quietly I entered the building and went up to a desk. I quickly explained I wanted to get some money off and they took me to my vault, so I quickly got as much as I need for books and stuff, including that gorgeous owl, and went back outside. Only to find Fred and Malfoy at each other’s throats. So I went over, knocked their wands out with a quick non-verbal spell and told Malfoy to stick it.

“Fred, just leave it, he isn’t worth the effort.”

I had to literally drag Fred off towards the animal shop and showed him the owl. I went inside, paid for it, and took her outside.

“Her name is Amber.” I said stubbornly. He looked at me weirdly but then shook his head.

“You come up with some weird names.”

“And? That’s all the fun of it” I laughed.

He just shook his head again. We left the owl emporium, and headed towards the ice cream Parlour and saw my sister Sky as a fox.

“What is Sky doing?” I asked myself.

“What?” Fred asked me.

“Nothing Fred.” I said quickly.
