You had spent half of the day just looking for the perfect gift, You looked through countless items hoping that one thing would just scream his name but to no avail nothing did, You had been to at least six different places today and nothing not a single fucking thing was good enough.
The last place you wanted to go was Hot-topic,it was too cliche to say the least plus you didn’t really think that Balz would like anything from there taking into consideration that he practically bought all of his clothes from said store so you couldn’t get him much from there,You decided to skip going there and just wonder around town basically window shopping.
You smiled at the people who passed you on the street but they just gave you an odd glance,you guessed it wasn’t everyday you see a girl dressed head to toe in black and had tattoos, You were use to though you really couldn’t go anywhere without getting those kind of looks,The only thing that really bothered you were the kids who would just stare and point at you,you had no idea why but it really bothered you.
You were lost in your thoughts but somehow you managed to see it, It was practically perfect you knew he would love it, You walked across the street and stopped at the window taking one last look at it before entering the small shop.
It was a unique place and why you and Balz hadn’t noticed this place before took you by shock considering the both of you were into the same things.
You walked around glancing at the other items that were located on the shelves,But you knew what you were getting him you just wanted to look around and see if you could find anything better.
You walked up to the man who you assumed was working there and asked if you could get buy the horse skull,he looked at you oddly before slowly nodding his head yes, He walked over to the window and took it off display and brought it back to the register so he could ring it up.
He placed it in the bag before giving it to you and wishing you a good day, You smiled triumphantly as you walked back to the apartment that you shared with balz, You honestly couldn’t wait to see his reaction.
You got back rather quickly, You fumbled with the key trying to unlock the door, You finally got the door to open and You rushed in taking notice that Balz was on the couch watching 'Adventure Time' you giggled at the sight, When you first met balz you wouldn’t have taken him as a guy who would watch that, But then again you judged a book by its cover, Balz was actually a genuinely sweet guy.
You ran into the bedroom and hid the bag in the closet that once again you two shared, You decided to change in to more comfortable clothes which were black shorts and a white tank top.
You walked back into the living room sitting by Balz,giving him a kiss on the cheek before resting your head on his shoulder. “How was your day?” He spoke his voice gravely you assumed he just woke up.
"It was surprisingly well,How about your day?" You replied
"The band called not to long ago to say ‘happy birthday’ other than that I slept all day." You giggled;Balz enjoyed his sleep,You cuddled more into and he wrapped his arms around you,kissing the top of your head.
The two of you laid there a bit longer before you decided you should give him his gift,you hesitantly got up and walked to the bedroom digging through the closet trying to find his gift.
You begin to panic when you couldn’t find it,You were so caught up in trying to find it that a voice startled you, You turned around and glared once you noticed that Balz had the bag.
He chuckled lightly before opening the bag,You tried to stop him because you wanted to be the one who gave him his gift but he just turned that other way taking out the skull and gasping.
You watched as he placed it on the bedside table and taking you in his arms and squeezing you. “I love it, (Y/N).” you sigh contently as he hugged you “Happy Birthday.” you mumbled, You had to admit that he did give the best hugs.
He pulled you down on to the bed and clutched you against him, You placed your head on his chest and traced his tattoos while he ran his fingers through your hair.
You were extremely happy that had liked the gift, Now all you wanted was to lay like this forever.
