Jaycee groaned out in annoyance. He was in class and one of those general bad boys were acting out again. It was pissing him off as the class was being disrupted by this student. And it wasn't just a student it was the infamous Shock. Yes, his name was Shock as electrocution. No one knows what his real name is but Jaycee suspected it was something he'd be embarrassed with since he had such a "nice" reputation. Maybe his name was Bryan or Joslyn. He chuckled to himself picturing the teacher calling out the name, "Joslyn," and Shock answering in flushed cheeks and angry eyes. That would make his day.
"Mr. Jaycee! I never would thought you'd laugh at something like this. You have detention!" The teacher yelled at Jaycee whose mouth dropped open in shock. Detention?! He'd never ever gotten detention before in all his 11 years he'd served in school. "Serve it today else I'm going to have to write you up. And I don't want to write up such a good student like you." The teacher gave him a pitifully look before looking away. Jaycee was still in shock though but he was brought back when he heard an outburst of loud laughter, giggling and snickering. He wiped his head around to see Shock and his groupees laughing their asses off, they all were glancing at him as they continued to gasp for air as they laughed.
Jaycee glared at them and bit his lip as he looked away. He wondered what they were laughing at. Surely it couldn't be at him. He hadn't done anything funny. He'd just gotten yelled at, how's that funny to anyone? The teacher immediately yelled at the group that was laughing at Jaycee and Jaycee smiled as they were yelled at. He'd eventually guessed they would be laughing at him. There wasn't anything else to laugh at and they were stupid enough to laugh at him. They deserved the yelling from the teacher for laughing at him and he was satisfied, thinking the teacher's yelling at them was good enough punishment.
The teacher went back to teaching, showing slides of notes about early stages of all three religions in Mesopotamia. Jaycee went back to taking notes content on writing neatly and legibly for him to read later when he was studying that night. But he was disrupted when a paper ball hit him square in the side of his head. He snapped his head up in anger for being disrupted in taking notes and suddenly heard a fleet of giggling as well of shh-ing. He looked around finding the giggles fast. It was Shock and his friends again laughing at him. He frowned annoyed with them. Why couldn't they just leave him alone? Couldn't they pick on someone else; he had enough problems already. He didn't need to add them to the list.
He glared at them about to throw the ball back angrily but they suddenly raised their hands pointing at the note motioning for him to open it. He looked at the crumbled ball in his hand and started opening it cautiously glancing at the teacher before looking back down at the note.
Are you gay? Or just a pansy?
Jaycee got immediately pissed off at the note and what it asked. He crumbled it up, as he did so the group busted out laughing again somehow finding it funny that he was crumbling the paper up into a ball again. The teacher wiped around and shouted, "You! Angelina, Luke, Shock, all of you! You all have detention! Today." she glared at them before turning back around trying to teach once again. The group began to argue, saying they'll shut up now but the teacher turned around telling them it's going to be a whole week of detention if they didn't stop. They quieted down glaring at Jaycee and he just glanced back innocently. He hadn't done a thing to get them in to trouble so he couldn't care less how much they glared at him. They deserved it for thinking he was a pansy. Psh, he didn't even like men. Why the hell would they think that?!
Soon the bell rang dismissing everyone to lunch. Jaycee signed in disappointment as he had to go to detention first. He wasn't looking forward to it since Shock and his friends would be there. He didn't even know where it was. He guessed he'll just ask someone, it was the only thing he could do.
He put his notes neatly away in his binder and tucked his binder into his book bag before getting up lifting the book bag onto his shoulders. He walked out of the class room while saying goodbye to the teacher as he stumbled in to the rushing hallways. It was like a zoo of hoarding animals all racing to one destination. It was exactly like that and he was roughly pushed into the lockers or slammed into somebody who pushed him into someone else. It never stopped and he was finally glad when he was left alone with the trickling of late arrivals of the herd.
He suddenly realized though that he was running out of time to find the detention room. The doors would be locked when the warning bell rang and he frantically began to look around for somebody to ask where the room was. He spotted a group of kids standing by the lockers. They we’re joking amongst themselves and passing around a pack of cigarettes and a lighter. He could already smell the smoke and he wondered how they were getting away with this inside the school. The smell was horrible and he could hardly breathe with it filling his nostrils.
He couldn't think about the others breaking the rules and if he should rat on them or not. Instead he walked up to them and asked clearly, "Do you guys now where the detention room is?" Immediately as he asked his question, they all turned to him exhaling their smoke into his face. He coughed as he accidentally breathed in the toxic air and began to wonder if asking these type of people had been such a good idea. They glared at him from under their thick, bangs that hung in their faces and one of them smirked, "Did Mr. Goody-Two shoes finally have his first detention? Awe you guys, he's finally growing up." The others laughed. "Let’s help him find his way you guys." the other continued before he suddenly grabbed him shoving against one of the many lockers lining the hall ways.
"Hey?!" he cried out in surprise as they pinned him to the lockers. His heart was jumping in his chest as he tried to get free. He wasn't that physically strong though and they all laughed at his weak struggles to escape from the hands pinning him against the lockers. He couldn't help but think melodramatically this was the end for him. This was how he was going to die. This was it. It got worse than just being laughed at and being pinned, they started to throw punches at him, kicking him as well. He whimpered out as they finally let him drop to ground after a while, the ones that still had cigarettes put them out against his skin, one even put one out on his neck and he cried out in pain as his flesh was burned. He pulled his sore arms over his head to try and at least protect his vital brain organs but it left his sides wide open for attacks. He continued to whimper wanting it all to end. They continued to kick at him when suddenly he heard someone hiss, "Oh, shit!"
The kicking and attacks on his body stopped but the pain didn't. He thought that maybe he actually was dying. He felt like it, the pain felt so bad. Maybe they'd realized he'd died and now were freaking out? He wondered what had happened as he tried to open his eyes realizing that he was staring at the floor, seeing puddles of his own blood spilled out in perfect little spats that could be called a messed up circle. He tried to think where he was bleeding from; he couldn't feel anything except for a rough hand shaking his shoulder. He heard a blur of words as he whimpered out trying to get away from the hand thinking it was going to hurt him too. The last thing he heard was the echoing of the school bell ringing in his ears and he blacked out.
