It has been three days since I arrived at the doorstep of the Ootori family and was quite proud to be apart of it. Father gave me my own room which was much larger than the one I had back in England. Inside were two twin-sized beds, a large desk with a lamp and chair, a large closet, a small balcony, a violin, and a personal bathroom. Who could ask for more?
I, certainly, was a lucky girl and couldn't complain. But, I was missing one thing and that was my step-father. Yes, he didn't care for me often, yet I still missed his presence. I sighed and sat up, glancing at my alarm clock; It read 4:30 a.m.
"Sebastian," I called out softly, waiting for my butler to come to my side.
"Yes, mistress?" He knelt before me. I ruffled his hair and sung my legs over the bed.
"I'm extremely nervous, it's been five years since I last went to a public school," I whispered and felt him pull me into a hug, I could always count on Sebastian to assists me on whatever I needed. He stroked my hair and whispered into my ear,
"You will be fine and I will, somehow, stay by your side." Feeling much more confident, I wriggled out of his embrace and treaded to the shower to prepare for the day. There would be so much attention on me today, I might as well get a start on it.

Glancing at my alarm clock once more, it was merely fifteen minutes past five. I grabbed my brush and stood before Mother's portrait, brushing through my thick hair. I knew she'd be proud of me for stepping out of my shell but she wasn't there to celebrate it with me, that became a large disappointment.
I sighed heavily and looked into my mirror, looking over the odd uniform. It consisted of a black mini-skirt that reached mid-thigh, a white blouse, a red tie, and a yellow jacket that made me look like a banana. I shook my head at the embarrassing outfit and set my brush aside, walking to the dining room.
Inside, I saw Sebastian had laid out a full spread for the family and Kyoya was already eating away. I smiled at the sight and gave Sebastian a hug before washing my hands, the habit that Mother got me into before eating every meal.
As I walked over to my seat, I gave Kyoya a small hug and started filling my plate with small amounts of food. I sat down and began to eat but hadn't noticed Sebastian standing behind me, evaluating the amount of food on my plate.
"Miss Rayven, if you would excuse my concern, but are you sure that'll be enough for today?" I looked down and noticed that he was right, I had a scarce amount on my plate. I looked back up and shook my head, meaning that I'd be grabbing more later. He nodded and started washing the dishes.
"Rayven, since it is your first day at Ouran, I'll be giving you a tour around the school and taking you to your classes. I've also looked into your schedule, we have every class together so it should be much easier to show you around. If you have any questions feel free to ask," Kyoya finished his plate and handed them to Sebastian, immediately pulling out his laptop. I frowned and was pulled deep into though, how am I going to fit in with the rest of the students?
I cleared my plate and handed it to Sebastian, walking upstairs to prepare my bag. I thought back to the day of my birthday, I was going to school with Mother.
"Mother, look! We can see the school from here," I pointed out, I was eager to get to class and tell everyone about my birthday. My mother laughed as the carriage came to a rolling stop,
"Now, have a good day Rayven. I'll see you when you arrive home, okay?" I nodded and she pecked my cheek before I hopped out. "Your father will be coming home early to help us celebrate your birthday, darling. He wanted me to let you know that he'll, also, be coming to pick you up early," I nodded once more and waved as the carriage rode away.
