" Wake up you two " I hear. I groaned and pushed the person away from the bed. I know he didn't fall because I didn't hear him hit the floor. " Is that any way to treat your favorite person when he just returned from a mission?? Huh Nyx and Kalinth?? " I hear him say. I immediately got up and jumped on top of him and hugged him. Kalinth did the same.
" By the gods, you two missed me " he said " Of course we missed you Chase! You're like an older brother to us " Kalinth said. I just stayed quiet. Daniel walked into our room ( Nyx, Kalinth share a room. Now that Chase returned from his mission, he also shares the room with Nyx and Kalinth ). " I see you guys had a little reunion " Daniel said. Chase just rolled his eyes. " Nyx don't forget what I told you " Daniel said. I didn't speak. " Nyx, what did Daniel tell you ? " Chase asked " He told me that I should be training nonstop " I said to Chase.
" Now this little brat talks! " Daniel said. Chase walked towards Daniel and punched him square in the face. Daniel left the room.

Here's the thing...

I only talk to Chase and Kalinth...

I don't know why, I just do...

To everyone else...

I'm silent...

" Don't listen to Daniel. Now that I'm back for now, he not going to push you to your limits. Today, it's your day off " Chase said. Kalinth cheered. " Thanks...but no. I'm going to train everyday " I said. Chase just sighed. He knows what happened to my family. I told him. He understands why I want to train everyday and he knows that he can't stop me. " But Nyx, you need a break. You're so fragile " Chase said. I scoffed and said " Fragile?? That's something I can't be...and won't be... ".

I left the room and met my mentor on the training field.

" Again! You're not even trying are you??! You're mother and father would be so disappointed in you " my mentor said. My emotions exploded. Within 2 minutes I had my mentor on the ground nearly begging to get up. I had enough of training for today. Also it's now nighttime. I spent the whole day training.

Once I reached the room, I got in bed.

" Nyx, don't look! Please daring look away and protect your brother! "

I hear my mother scream...

The next thing I knew was seeing my father fall to the ground in front of me.

" Nyx! Nyx, wake up! Baby please! " I hear.

I shot up and started crying. I felt arms around me, holding me and trying to calm me down. " Shhhh Nyx. It was only a dream, a memory. You're safe " Chase said
" H-how did you know that I was having that dream?? " I said in between sobs. Chase sighed. " You were thrashing and screaming in your sleep and crying in your sleep " Chase said.

Once I calmed down, I managed to fall back asleep...
