"Those idiots are gonna get in so much trouble one of these days that even Sticks and I won't be able to bust 'em out", mumbled Amy as she ran for the block and down the village path.

This is where he said at least someone would be, right? Her feet picked up sand that just turned faint in the wind. She slowed down when the market place was in sight. The drizzling only made it more colorful as she went on through. On the other hand it got a bit muddy when the village paths got under her feet ever so slightly sticky. However a grey and wide ox seemed to have no resistance making his way to her.

"Hey, Amy. Have you seen Knuckles. Jungle Fighter 3: Revenge of The Jungle Fighter came out on film today. I was hoping we could watch on Tails's tape recording thingamajig. I mean if that's okay with Tails?"
Oh yeah, he and Sonic were playing sand fighters as much I cared.

"Hey Mike, he's at the coast near Tails's workshop, but I should warn you to at least stay on your toes."

"Kay, then I'll probably see you again soon, Amy. Have a nice day," he waved as he passed me.
Bye was all I said when I walked backwards as he ran, head over a shoulder.

I kept looking for Zoey to be with, but pondering while I did so. The clouds and drizzling were so light I could actually look straight up at the sun. When I came across the crazy granny, I actually moved a few quicker, but ended up at the library.
"Hello, Amy. Haven't seen you in a while,"said a bright yellow fox.

She wore a mahogany red wardrobe, bright red cuffs on her gloves similar to Amy's, red flipflops, and a dull red headband on mid back-length fur in a band at the end of it.

"Huh. Oh hi, Zoey. I've been looking for you. Do you know where Tails went."
"Um, not sure but we could hang out if ya want to."
"Yaeh, okay with me. What are you doing here anyway? I don't see a book on you," questioned Amy when she walked out the door with the fox in question coming from behind her.

"Sometimes I just go to sleep in the kids' reading corner. They'll let me every so often."

They giggled for a bit and the drizzle stopped, but dirt stayed on Amy's shoes. They kept walking till they saw a bi-brown girl at the coast of the open sand running in the distance.

A boomerang laid tucked on her back. Wooden saddles, a roughly made half top and shorts, and exotic charms that she said protected her is all the girl wore.

"Sticks? What is she-"
Amy cut off the question as the feral badger dug in the cement-like sand that visibly showed the tide lines but she didn't seem to care about the rising water though it got in her little pothole.

"Hey, I could use some help here. Feel free to jump in," said the badger as she shifted her eyes between us and her digging.
"What are we doing exactly, if you don't mind me asking," asked Zoey as Sticks put something yellow and rough in a woven side bag near the hole. "What does it look like? I'm getting shells."

"Sticks, people normally get big seashells, well, out in the sea."
Amy pointed towards the ocean as waves came in, but Sticks explained for the actions.
"I can't, we don't have dive an' snorkel stuff. Even if we do, id' be too late to call the ancient water people to protect us, once we surfaced back up with one."
"Uh, well why not just get in the water and search at knee level," said Zoey even as she was stumped with the girl's reasoning.
"Oh, why didn't I think of  'dat. Come on," insisted Sticks as she aimlessly waded through to a random spot for searching.
"Uh, Amy."
"Like you said Zoe. . .

Why not," smiled Amy as she ran for to the tides.

Zoey just shrugged before she waded after them, all giggling.

"So what are we looking- Aaah ha haa," yelled the sun yellow fox as she felt a sudden chill from her head seeping down the spine while dripping off her hair.

Sticks and Amy's attempts at holding laughter were a waterwar signal to Zoey's mind. So she shook violently like the dog she was then smirked.

Hah hah hehhaa ha ha
Laughing about in Zoey's sprinkling shake, the two of them didn't acknowledge the fox's actions. Cupping her hands under the surface then turning to push the waterfront.

A wave splashed in their faces and shone off the water as they gained recognition of what was happening.
"Wayhayhait, taha hahaha," was all Amy could muster from her uncontrollable chuckling.

"At least you can say we're, oh I doh' know . . . . .tide now," joked Zoey as the others laughed harder.
Soon she, herself joined in and a huge commotion of giggles and splashes could be heard from the shore.

Golden eyes were watching from beyond the trees, chuckling at what her pair saw. A white muzzle was present as a truly genuine smile formed, a button nose, and a fang when she talked.
"Oh, Amy. Nothing really changed, but we've got some catchin' up ta do, huh," came a bold yet sweet voice.
