Now Seán McLoughlin was a good boy. A good church boy raised in a good home and he had a good education. He never did any drugs or was penalized for any mischief. A perfect young upstanding man of society. His parents always prideful in stating "You don't see boys like that anymore..". Whenever they spoke about their trophy son to fellow parents at church potlucks.

Seán bathed in the sea of compliments he received from his parents and teachers. Ever since his first compliment from his bible study teacher in preschool when he was able to recite all the arch angels by heart. He has strived for the approval of those around him. He didn't care for his peers who ditched bible study to hide in the confession booths and smoke marijuana or do any other illicit activities. Denying any invitations he received knowing the consequences if not from the church then from God. Of course, they laughed at him and called him uptight.

He wasn't uptight! He just knew the rules and preferred to follow them and do what you are suppose to do at a church. Not go into the confession and have sexual relations. Didn't they know the rules? He guessed not, as he always saw it as clockwork when two of his classmates would leave the room before the teacher came in with roll call.

At first Jack though to inform their teacher about his peers activities, but decided against it. What did he gain from telling on them? They'd learn their lesson soon enough when they're naturally discovered. Or when they review the material they were suppose to have learned those days.

Jack did have Felix to confide his frustrations in. Felix wasn't much for church though. He barely paid attention in class and was always doodling. This went for both bible study and their academic schooling. Felix once told him he hated coming to church, though Jack couldn't understand his friends distaste towards his beliefs. They had been attending the same classes ever since they were infants,it was in middle school when the blonde boy began to act out. He never understood why. Maybe he was just being a teenager? Jack never felt it was right to ask why because Felix was one of his only friends. He didn't wanna break or weaken their relationship. Watching Felix be the first person out of the session as he followed his friend outside of the classroom.

"Did you finish the- why am I even asking you probably did." The blonde letting out an exasperated sigh.

"Did I finish what?"

"The math homework."

Seán watching Felix swing his bag around his chest so he could unzip it and bring out the stapled papers with blank answers. A small snort escaped the boy as he looked away.

"Don't laugh you ass, I had more important things to do than waste my time-..."

The blonde becoming quiet as the teacher walked out of the class, raising an eyebrow at the duo before going to her office.

"..doing this boring shit!" He whispered in an angry tone as all Jack could do was laugh at his friends antics.

"Well, what do you expect me to do then your highness?" Jack spoke as he rested his hand on his hip,his messenger bag slightly bouncing at this action on his other hip.

"What do you think?" Felix arched an eyebrow as he held a pencil in his right hand and his unfinished homework in the other. "I expect you to help a friend out. Since I'm the only one you've got."

"Yeah, yeah. A please would've been nice." He commented as he began to dig in his bag through his papers before handing Felix the finished assignment. They had all weekend to do it. And it wasn't even that hard. But he guessed that was just Felix. He didn't mind if this was the only perk to keep their friendship.

Yawning as he walked out of the church doors with the other following behind him. It was still early in the morning, but the chill of the early breeze woke him up as they began their walk to school. Both their families worked for the church part-time so them having to attend the class in the morning was something of a norm for them and the few other teenagers who soon were trailing behind them. It wasn't a hard life style for the teen, most assumed it was and that he hated it. But he didn't.

"Felix.."

"Mm..?" He spoke as he continued to sloppily write down the answers for the packet using his hand as a surface to write on the papers.

"Do you think what we do is hard?"

"What do you mean? Did you do a joint while I wasn't paying attention?"

"No! I mean like us going to church with our parents almost every single day. "

"Never thought of it." He simply replied, shoulders moving up signaling a shrug. "I guess it would be if you didn't grow up with it like we did."

"Yeah..I guess." He slightly frowned, opening the doors to the school as walked in with his friend to the empty halls.

It was always like this when they walked in. There wasn't anyone besides the teachers here at this time. Though they were already use to the 'church kids' early arrivals. Guiding Felix to their lockers as they sat down, thanking him as he handed back his papers and placed them in his folder.

"I'm going to sleep." Jack heard him say, glancing at the other as he saw him pull his hoodie up and cover his eyes as he leaned back against the lockers. Nodding even though Felix couldn't see him as he also rested against the lockers. Pulling out his phone and playing a random mini game out of boredom until school began or when breakfast was served.

The green haired boy had been mindlessly playing the game before he heard a ruckus come from the vice principals office. What was that? He looked at Felix to see if he had noticed, but his friend was just softly snoring. He was asleep, how surprising. Turning his phone off,he stood up cautiously walking towards the door that was across the hall from them.

"Fishbach! Get back here this instant! You can't just-"

The door suddenly burst open as Mark Fishbach stormed out. Seán jumping back surprised at the sudden appearance of his classmate.

"Yeah, I've heard it all the fuck before.."

Mark tossing the other a glance, but to Jack it was one of the coldest glares he received from anyone. Maybe it was the surprised expression he wore that earned him a smirk from Mark Fishbach, whatever it was, Jack didn't like that expression. Especially when it was targeted towards him.

And that's the end of chapter one! I hope you liked that and I would love some constructive criticism because I don't consider myself a good writer at all and I don't even know if what I wrote is considered a long chapter or not. (Or if its any good because I felt like I rambled)
Please help
