Wendy's POV:
Today is Monday! I get to see Mest at school today!
I fed Carla, got ready, then headed on out. While walking to school, I heard a voice calling my name.
"Hey Wendy!" I saw Romeo running up to me.
"Oh, hey Romeo." I smiled.
"Are you alright?" He asked.
"Oh, yes, I'm fine!" I replied, recalling the incident on Saturday. "In fact, I met up with Mest after hanging out with Chelia!" I grinned, blushing a bit. "Whenever I see him, my heart starts beating really fast!"
"Oh, is that so...." Was all he said. He stayed silent for a bit, frowning.
"Romeo, what's wrong?" I asked, worried.
"Tch. It's nothing." He replied coldly, and continued walking without me.
"Ro-"
"I said its nothing!" Romeo raised his voice, without looking back.
I was shocked. Romeo never raised his voice like that! He even clicked his tongue!
My expression saddened. Was it something I said to offend him? If that's the case, then I have to apologize!
Soon, we arrived at school.
Romeo's POV:
I'm such an idiot! Why did I do that! I slammed my locker.
During class, I glanced over at Wendy in the back. Her expression looked painful. She looked sad and hurt. She folded her arms and put her head down. This is all my fault!
Seeing her like this was painful. My heart.... It hurts so much. How will I be able to approach her?
*******Time Skip********
It was lunch. I'm still thinking about Wendy. How could I hurt her like that?! I saw Wendy running towards me in the hallway.
"Romeo!" She panted. The expression oh her face looked painful and desperate. It hurt me more. I can't talk to her right now.
"What?" I said coldly.
She looked surprised.
"Um.... I....." Her voice cracked.
"Hurry up already. I'll be late for lunch!" Words escaped from my lips. "Besides, you're not allowed to run in the hallway."
"I....."
"If you don't have anything to say, then stop bothering me!" I shouted, as if I couldn't control my words.
"Never mind....it's nothing." Wendy said weakly. She turned and walked away. I glanced. Before she turned, I saw a tear escape from her eye.
When she left, I clutched my chest. I felt my heart throb.
"Dammit!" I kicked my locker. "I really screwed up."
I skipped lunch for today, spending the rest of it sulking in the corner. "How pathetic." I smirked at myself. "I don't deserve her."
Wendy's POV:
After Romeo's outburst, I bumped into Mest, telling him that I had to stay in class to help the teacher. I really didn't feel like eating.
I felt really out of it. I wasn't thinking about Mest like I did 24/7 on the weekend.
I wonder what I did wrong. How did I make Romeo mad? I really need to apologise! No matter what!
After school ended, I saw Romeo walking home on his own.
"Romeo!" I shouted, running towards him. I was really desperate this time.
He turned his head towards me.
"I don't wanna talk right now." He mumbled, continuing to walk away. I still chased him."No!" I tugged his shirt. He didn't turn around.
"Romeo, if I did anything to offend you, I'm sorry! Just please don't be angry!" I paused for a bit.
" I really won't be able to stand it if you were to stop talking to me! You were the one who made school much more fun! I really enjoyed spending time with you, Chelia, and Mest! So please...... I hope we can still be friends!" I didn't notice the tears coming out of my eyes.
Romeo turned around, grabbed my shoulders, and........
EHHHHHHHHHHH??!?!??!!
He pressed his lips against mine.
When he let go, I saw the flustered and painful expression on his face.
"I-D-I-O-T!!!!" He playfully flicked my forehead. "Look at me! Not him!" His face was completely red, but his expression softened a bit.
"And stop talking about him in front of me!" Then he ran the rest of the way home.
I stood there. Speechless.
A/N: Hehe, I know that I said that I would stop putting pictures, but only this once! ;)
