“I’m sorry!” I quickly said, helping her get up.

“Its fine happens all the time nowadays,” she said laughing, brushing her black skinny jeans off.  I reached down, grabbing her books that were knocked out of her hands when the door hit her.  I handed them over to her, looking at her as she pulled her blue shirt a little, looking up at me.

My eyes widened the slightest bit; I recognized her from somewhere.   I studied her face, noticing how when she smiled dimples showed on her slightly tanned cheeks.  It almost made me smile too when she smiled, which was odd since I was usually bitter towards outsiders.  She had long auburn colored hair that had a light brown under layer on the inside, near her neck.  Her hair was loosely braided over her shoulder with a blue bow holding the braid together.  Her eyes were the lightest blue I had seen before; besides Ellen DeGeneres’ eyes, yet those were contacts…

“Ahem..?”  She said, pretending to clear her throat as she rose her eyebrow.  I snapped myself out of m reverie and gave her a sheepish smile as I handed her books to her.

“Sorry if that seemed creepy, you just look really familiar,” I mumbled, trying to explain myself.

She looked at me again, cocking her head to the side as she looked me over.  It made me smile slightly, getting checked out.  I laughed at that and she looked at me strangely again.  “Sorry, just thinking of something.”

“Oh, well you kinda do look familiar… Where do you go to school?”  She asked me, taking a step closer to me, in the direction of the school.

“I go to Addison.  Where do you go?” I asked her, walking slowly with her, digging my hands into my pockets.

“I go there to.  I actually just transferred today, don’t tell anyone this, but I got there on a scholarship,” She whispered to me.

I nodded at that, smiling slightly at being the only person she told, or so I thought.  “Don’t worry; I got here on a scholarship too.  No one judges though.  At least not the guys I know.”

“Okay good, you just took a large amount of pressure off my back… I’m sorry but what’s your name?” She asked, hugging her books to her chest.

“My names Neil Henry and what’s yours?”

“My names Avery Johnson,” She said smiling again and laughing to.  “Did you know that I have no idea how to get to the school?”  She said looking slightly embarrassed.

This time I laughed at her.  “Well it seems like you know since you’re walking in the direction of it.  By the way, where is your luggage if you’re new?”

“Well… it’s sorta already at the dorm I was assigned to… So instead of coming with my luggage, I went to the library to check out the books needed for class.  And now I’ve been walking around for the last hour looking for school.”

I was kind of angry at that fact.  Why would she allow herself to be in that type of danger? I pushed that feeling down and replaced all the emotions that had risen with my usual self.
