Part 3: The Librarian

two o'clock in the afternoon already?

huh.... i guess it's time for me to go.

i left the blacksmith place and went straight to the library.

i go there to read almost everyday since they always bring in new books about different types of ores.

i was surprised that claire gave me that copper ore awhile ago. she actually predicted my addiction to ores correctly.

as i entered the library, i saw mary, as usual.

she would always wear round thin framed glasses and a simply blue and white dress with a bow tie. honestly, she looked kinda like a school girl rather than a librarian to me.

she's a very nice person. she would always praise me for my addiction of reading. according to her, not much of the peopl from mineral town are fond of reading so she's pretty much impressed with me. somehow, i find her kinda clingy at times. she would always talk to me about how her father would buy books and that's why she put up this library in the first place. she's very nice, true, but VERY nice... to me...

"graaay~~ i've been writing a novel lately and its my first time making one. since youre fond of reading, i want you to be the first one to judge it before i could actually publish it~" she merilly cheered as she appeared behind me out of nowhere as i was busy trying to find a book about copper so i would make of use the ore claire had given to me.

Why does mary have to always disturb me everytime i read....

Dont get me wrong, but i appreciate her being friendly and all... But i dont think she's the type of person i could actually claim to be my 'friend'. Coz...you know... Maybe she's just being nice to me since she's nice to everyone.

"Fine...i'll read it someday" i managed to wear a fake smile on my face.

"R-really? You will? Yay~ im so nervous but excited at the same time! I hope you'll like it~" she handed over a thick maroon-red-color-for-a-cover book to me and as i was about to head off to the inn, i saw her again...

Claire's POV

As the mayor of the town continued on touring me about the place, i thought i needed a break from all the boring-ness and decided to chill off in the library for awhile.

When i entered there, i saw gray with this other girl.

For some reason, i dont know why i felt like the blood in my head started to drain...

Nonononononononoooo.... Im not jealous

Gaaah claire!! Get a hold of yourself! Its not like your dating him or something, and besides... You only met him this morning. You cant like him that fast.
