Vylad's POV
I sigh as I look at my first class, "Psychology 101..." I mutter to myself.
I walk into the class and scan the room, not being surprised that there aren't any familiar faces. I sit down by a girl with red hair and green eyes.
She looks at me timidly, "Hey... Uhh... Do you have a pen I could borrow?" The girl asks with a small voice. I nod and hand her one of my extras, "Thanks... I'm Kiki." She thanks.
I give her a warm smile, "I'm Vylad." I introduce.
"All eyes up here!" The teacher exclaims, cutting off Kiki and my conversation. A small piece of paper slides onto my desk.
'Thanks for the pen!
~Kiki'
Her phone number is also on there. I glance at Kiki and nod, then look back up at our teacher.
"Eyes up here." The teacher repeats.
The room grows silent as everyone stares at the teacher. You could hear a pen drop, it was so quiet. The only noise to be heard is the noise of the whirling fan in the middle of the classroom.
"Welcome to Psychology 101, kids... This'll be the most important class of your life."

~4 Hours Later, Vylad's POV
"And you're free to go!" My writing teacher dismiss' us.
I grab my stuff then leave the classroom, but as I have my hand on the doorknob, I feel a tap on my shoulder. I turn around and see Kiki standing there. Apparently, she wants to be the same thing I want to be, a psychologist for the FBI.
"Hey, Kiki." I greet as the two of us walk out of the classroom.
"Thanks for uhh... Standing up for me earlier." Kiki thanks.
"No problem." I smile at her. She returns the gesture.
~Flashback, Vylad's POV (2 Hours Earlier)
Kiki and I walk into writing class, when Kiki's stuff splatters onto the floor. Kiki grumbles something under her breath as she picks it up. I help her. Once we finish, there's snickering from behind us. I whip my head around and glare at the person who's snickering.
"Did you push her books down?" I ask the tan-skinned girl.
"Pfft, Michi would never do such a thing!" This 'Michi' girl replies.
Her black tail whips back at forth as her left ear twitches. I guess that's telling me that she's lying? I don't know.
I scowl, "Michi. Did you knock over Kiki's books?" I ask with a cruel voice.
Michi's eyes widen as she nods frantically, "Y-Yes! M-M-Michi did push Kiki's book d-down!" Michi stutters.
"Beat it!" I exclaim, pointing to the rest of the classroom.
Michi nods timidly then scurries off. I glance at Kiki, "Thank you, Vylad." She thanks.
"Don't think anything of it." I smile. Her and I then walk into class and sit by each other.
~Reality, Vylad's POV
"Kiki...! Kiki!" Someone exclaims.
A boy with black hair and green eyes runs our way, "Hey, Brendan!" Kiki greets as the boy runs up to her.
He engulfs her in a hug. Once the man releases, he looks me up and down, "Who's this?" Brendan asks.
I give the boy a small wave. Brendan then whispers something in Kiki's ear, "Brendan! Shut up! We're not dating!" Kiki giggles as a pink blush grows on both of our faces.
Mine fades quickly as Kiki's remains on her face,
"Uhh.. We won't be dating." I start.
Brendan's face drops, "Why not?" He asks.
"I'm uh.. I'm gay?" My statement flows out more like a question.
Brendan seems surprised. Kiki doesn't, since I told her earlier today at the mess hall. "Oh! Uhh... What's your name?" Brendan questions as he calms himself down.
"Vylad... Vylad Ro'Meave." I answer. Brendan puts his hand out for me to shake it.
I accept it, "Brendan, Brendan Piko." He introduces.
I give Brendan a small smile. Kiki pulls me aside once we release hands, "Sorry about him..." Kiki whispers into my ear.
I look down at her, "No, it's fine. I don't mind." I reply.
"He's not exactly a... Supporter. If you know what I mean." Kiki informs.
"Kiki, it's fine," A chuckle escapes my mouth, "Some people are and some people aren't." I finish.
Kiki flashes a small smile. Her and I walk back to Brendan, who's now preoccupied in his phone. "Brendan," Kiki starts. Brendan doesn't bother to look up, "BRENDAN." Kiki screams.
Brendan's head snaps up as his eyes are as wide as saucers, "Y-Yes?" Brendan questions.
The green-eyed boy eyes me weirdly before looking back at his sister. Kiki gives Brendan a big, cheeky smile, "Nothing!" She exclaims happily.
Kiki hops off, but turns around and looks at me, "See you tomorrow, Vylad!" She waves.
"Bye!" I exclaim. She turns around and bounces off into a crowd of people.
I glance at Brendan. We stare into each other's eyes for a moment while silence fills both of us. Brendan shakes his head slightly, "See you around." Brendan says with a blank tone.
I don't have a chance to say anything before he's already somewhere else. I sigh, adjust my bookbag on my shoulder, then walk off.
