"The Mind Alone is Art, it's just too Corrupt to Fully express itself."

"Malakai Thompson."

He paused, and wiped the table with a cloth. He looks at the two detectives. His shift is over in ten, so he's about ready to go home and relax. This job is quite tiresome, well being a waiter is tiresome period. Having to deal with different kinds of people every other hour and having to pretend you're in a positive mood.

Malakai is confused as to how the detectives know his name, and why are they here. They stood in front of him. Detective Timothy with his hands in his pockets, and Detective Oswald standing tall.

"Yes?" Malakai stands up straight, clutching onto the cloth.

"We have a few questions about the disappearance of Zinnia Wallace, do you mind if—"

The plate that was in Malakai's hand drops and shatters all over the floor. "What?" His heart drops to the pit of his stomach. His coworkers look at him oddly, but he doesn't flinch. The words leaving Detective Oswald's mouth seemed like a blur, just like his vision.

Thud, thud...If all was silent they could hear his heartbeat. Detective Oswald is surprised, almost, at the act he thinks Malakai is putting on. How doesn't he know that Zinnia has been missing for the past days?

Weird.

Considering everyone has been talking about the shocking news nonstop. You just can't miss it. Zinnia's name rolled off of tongue's on a daily basis leaving her name to remain in the air. Not hearing about... Must simply mean your residence is under a rock.

"You haven't heard about her disappearance, at all?" Detective Oswald asked.

Malakai's breathing shortened. "W-when did she go missing?" He gulps.

How is this even possibly, for him not to know Zinnia went missing? Detective Timothy internally scoffs, what kind of a liar... Malakai has nothing to lie for, except for minor things that will not be brought up.

Of course a minor could be a major issue to some, but again... Malakai has nothing to lie for, unless it need be.

"Son, you mean to tell me you were not aware of Zinnia Wallace's disappearance, not even one bit?" Detective Oswald looks at him as if he has stupid written across his forehead. "What was she to you?"
