Savannah's Point Of View

I woke up and shivered. There was eerie howls coming from the forest. I wanted to go to it but I couldn't, it was like something was trying to lure me in.

The next morning when I woke up, I passed off the entire thing off as being a dream. I rushed to get dressed, then picked up a basket to go mushroom picking. I walked to the woods and started picking mushrooms. After a while I heard a twig snap and my head snapped to the direction the sound came from. There was... nothing? But something was giving me a bad feeling. I shrugged it off and continued picking mushrooms.

Then a bush rustled and I stumbled back glancing around. Two red glowing things were on a bush but as I looked closer I saw that they were red, menacing eyes! I yelped and turned around and ran home. As I was running I heard several twigs snapping.

I sighed in relief as I reached the backdoor, when I turned around I saw a huge shadow slinking towards the woods. I was trembling but I managed to get up to my room without my parents seeing.

Since it was getting dark I decided to go to sleep. At midnight I woke up again. But this time there was screaming as well as howling...

I screamed and started to run towards the house but it caught me, like it always does to it's victims...

Flashback

I was just walking through the woods when it happened. I was walking when I heard twigs snapping. I turned around slowly and saw a monstrous sight. I didn't look at it for long before I started running. As I was running I could hear it getting closer... And closer... Until I could feelit's breath on the back of my neck.

Flashback Over

It lunged at me then bit my shoulder... I closed my eyes knowing I would never see daylight again.

I shuddered s the screams were suddenly cut off and instantly knew, whoever they were, was dead.

The next morning I was eating when I realized my brother was missing.

After breakfast I went to the woods to look for him. What I saw when I was searching, made my heart shudder in my chest.

There on the floor, was my brothers shirt, all ripped and bloody...

I opened my mouth to scream but nothing came out. As I stood there, stunned, I heard a BANG and it ripped me from my frozen form and I dizzily turned around. But I soon wished I hadn't

When I turned a found a thing that had flame like fire and piercing blue eyes. It looked sad as it looked over me, and surprisingly, I wasn't afraid of him. His eyes suddenly started looking around the the clearing nervously and nudged me to get me to run away. I turned away from him and ran towards home. As I raced towards it I heard growling and yelps.

When I reached the house I quickly went up to my room, but then a thought struck me. 'No! It couldn't be! It can't be true!' I screamed at myself in my head.

Night after night people started disappearing like Jake did. Until my worst nightmare came true...

I sighed and lay down on the ground as Master left to hunt. I hated this life but I was lucky I survived it...

As I walked into the house there was no 'Hey!' or 'How was you're day?' from Mom and Dad. I trembled slightly, knowing something was wrong.

I rushed upstairs and shouted "Mom! Dad! Where are you?" I ran up to their room and slammed the door open. I froze as I took in the view. There was blood everywhere, but that's not what worried me. On a mirror, written in blood, it said, 'You're next.'

I bolted awake and thought, 'was it a dream?' I hope so.

I stumbled into the forest and found four pairs of eyes staring at me and I knew what would happen as I stayed still as four figures appeared. I smiled and whispered, "take me home."

Neighbour's Point Of View

I shivered as I heard the howling of the wolves, I sped up and as I walked up to the house. I went to knock on the door but it opened. I looked inside and gasped, The house was deserted, and had been for a long time.

There is a legend of a fierce Hell Hound who, once a year, chooses a family to hunt down. But sometimes he concentrates on one certain person, but that is rare.

But if he chooses you, you can't run or hide from him. They never escape him. Never.

The eerie howls now sounded in harmony as they ran towards the forest, their work was done. They will be back next year...
