Humanity

Massacre after massacre. Tragedy after tragedy. A pattern we are sadly starting to get used to.
It is now that I'm starting to realize the problem. It is humanity. And I don't mean that in a "everyone but me" or a "only bad humans" way. Everyone, including myself is at fault.

As humans we point fingers. We take our selves and others out of the equation till we get to one group. It's not like we can help it right? Because it's what we grow up on. It's what they discreetly teach in schools, it's what's on TV, it's what politics is built off of at the moment. So together we point our fingers maybe at different targets but never at ourselves.

And together as we point our fingers we say: this will change. Because we cry over it, we pray, we talk about it we blame. But it continues. Over and over.

Orlando shooting at the pulse club:
One human shoots many humans
Add the word gay and you blame the LGBT community
Sandy hook shooting:
One human shoots many children
Add the word in school and you blame school security
Movie shooting:
One human shoots many others in a movie theater
There is no more to add to this and did you notice we never pointed to anything because humanity was the only thing to point at?

Together we point our fingers hoping if we agree on what is to blame we will solve it. Over and over we point. Over and over we are wrong and let it not only continue but get worse.

And we let it carry on because we are convinced we have nothing to do with it. But as far as I'm concerned, not helping solve the issue is almost as bad as helping the shooter and many more to come.

So no I'm not here to tell you who to vote for who to trust I'm not here to tell you that you have to love gays I'm not here to tell you to stop believing what you currently be live in. I'm here to tell you that if you keep zooming in you'll forget what picture you're even looking at. I'm telling you to stop watching these events take place, then crying and shrugging it off. I'm telling you that the issue will not be solved until we zoom out to look at the picture as a whole:
It's not technology not security not immigrants not different sexualities or ethnicities
It's Humanity
And believe it or not that includes you
