He looked slowly to the left, not know what to expect. The street thankfully is empty, but somehow that puts him more on edge. She said she'd be here by now, but she isn't always true to her word. He looks again up the lonely street, not wanting to go down there, but if he doesn't he knows there will be a price to pay.
Looking up to the cloudy night sky for answers, he gets a reply as a big drop of rain falls on his nose. The light above him keeps flickering off and on making shivers trail up his spine.
"Where is she? " He thinks to himself. "This is why you should never trust her"
Small droplets of rain start coating his fur, leaving the smell of wet dog behind him. Suddenly the light behind him turns off, the only light left is the soft glow of a street lamp a hundred meters down the street. He desperately wants to turn back and head home and lay down and sleep like a pig.
His teeth start to chatter as a sudden wave of coldness hits him. He knows he is frightened, but he doesn't want to admit it. He suddenly comes to a halt as he senses something behind him. He quickly glances backwards to see nothing but empty road. But he doesn't completely believe what his eyes tell him.
His heart is like a galloping horse. He picks up his pace wanting to find her as quickly as possible. He has a terrible feeling about this. He should head home now, but he knows the she knows where he live and would easily track him down.
Suddenly the empty metal trash cans behind him start to rattle. He quickly looks behind himself to see the trash cans still like they haven't been touched. He stares at them, like he's expecting them to move, but they don't.
He looks ahead again as his heart stops. He lets out a whimper as all the hairs stand up on the back of his neck.
She is standing proudly in the middle of the path. She is wearing a pair of black boots that barely stands out against her dark fur. She also has a black eye mask over her face.
"Scared much dog?" She laughs.
"Me scared? You have got be joking," The dog fake laughs. He is scared out of his mind. She lets out a laugh.
"Who are you trying to fool?" She laughs. He lets out a growl in annoyance.
"Who does this cat think she is?" He thinks to himself
"Why did you invite me to come here?" He questions her.
"Well it has come to my attention that you know about her."
"About who?" The dog snarls back
"Don't play dumb, you know exactly who I'm talking about." The cat hisses. "And I know what you plan on doing."
"What how did you know? Who told you?" Said the dog getting kind of scared not realizing what he had just said.
"So you admit knowing who she is," Says the cat smirking.
"What NO! I don't know who she is,"
"STOP LYING!" Hisses the cat as she strikes him on the face. He lets out a whimper.
"I'm... not.... Lying," The dog breathes out. The cat simply rolls her eyes and pulls out a dagger from her left boot. She smirks at him as he gives her a fearful gaze.
"P-put t-that away-y bef-fore s-someone gets h-hurt," He stutters nervously.
"There's only one person who is going to get hurt today... would you like to guess who that lucky person is?" She grins evilly. She waited two seconds for an answer but got none. The dog had gone unusually quiet.
"No? Okay then." She grins as she lifts up the dagger.
Before the dog has time to react the dagger is flying through the air. It successfully pierces through his chest.
She lets out a loud evil laugh as the dog falls to the ground. She walks over to him with her boots making a slight clinking sound as she walk. She leans over and rips the dagger straight out of his chest and puts it back in her boot.
She looks at him and gives a quick nod in success as she flees the scene.
The dog is losing blood at a rapid speed. He is in excruciating pain. He feels his life slowly slipping away from him. He knows that he should have stayed home as the blackness surrounds him.
