A Poem to an Uncatchable Girl

Her amazing eyes,
Like sapphires,
Clear and blue,
Like the night sky,
Deep and thoughtful,
Like a pool of water,
One which you can fall and lose yourself in forever,

Her tentative smile,
So brief and bright.,
Like a shooting star,
Noticed by all,
Understood by few,
Always wishing to see it again,

Her swaying hips,
Mesmerizing in their movement,
Yet she does not notice the way they affect those around her,
How they stop and stare,
And notice what incredible beauty she holds,
Though she never notices herself,

Her mind is sharper than a blade,
And quicker than light,
Always noticing,
Always judging,
Always thinking,

She hides a core stronger than iron,
Fierce as a tiger,
Watchful as a hawk,
Hidden beneath an outer shell she shows the world,

I am coming to know that core,
The girl inside,
And it is with this knowledge of her that I call her uncatchable,

You can't catch the wind in the tree tops,
You can't catch the waves crashing on the beach,
You can't catch the stars,
Or the sky,
You can't catch the clouds in their different forms,

You can't catch an idea,
An ideal,
You can't catch strength,
Or beauty,
Or compassion,
Determination,
Wisdom,

Although this girl has all of those, she also has non of them,
She is something special,
She is a force,
An idea,
A force I thought I could handle,
I did not know her like I do know,
An idea I thought I understood,
But she is more complex than anything I could have imagined,
She deserves someone so much better,
And it is good she has her eyes set up there,

But I would be surprised if even they were able to convince her,
She is a force,
She is an idea,
She is never contained,
Never understood,
That is why for me,
She will always be,
The uncatchable girl.
