The knocking at my door is 1 of 2 things: the medical center or my Uniform. At this point I'm not sure which one would be better. I walk to the door and open it. "Hello, your brother will have to stay with us for a short amount of time, his recovery will be slow since we are out of kolto. You can visit him at the medical center at any time". A selkath nurse. Well at least he's going to recover. I closed the door and grabbed a few credits for the Cantina, and made my way to the medical center. The thing I don't like about the west platform is it's crawling with Sith soldiers.but for my brothers sake I'll go. I entered the medical center the front desk receptionist nodded, indicating he knew me. I walked in and there he was on the bed. "Will are you alright?" He seemed tired. "Yeah... just business... the guy played it off.... like I started it...I just told him to stop pestering me I hadn't even... been to my shop yet... it was a-" at this moment I was hoping he'd say a Sith soldier. "- Republic soldier...". A Republic soldier? That can't be right why would a Republic soldier do that? "He saw me sell a Sith some kolto and the Republic soldier.... asked for some and I couldn't sell to him because... the Sith was severely injured... and the Republic soldier was perfectly fine." He had trouble speaking but I got the point. "Well I just wanted to swing by. I hope you're ok and he serves his sentence. I joined the Republic yesterday." He gave me a surprised and assuring look when I told him. That was not the response I expected. "Well don't let me hold you back just don't forget about me when you're a big war hero". I laughed. "Oh c'mon I'll only end up a scout anyway, and I'll visit you as much as I can, I might be leaving today so I love you and I'll send you a hologram here and there." He smiled and closed his eyes. "Okay Jack see you soon... I love you too". Out. Just like that he slept. He needs it anyways. I made my way back to the apartment to be greeted by my Uniform packaged still with a note on it

"Jack, please come to the embassy upon receiving this letter, this package contains your scout uniform and blaster. Take any items or belongings with you that you value but pack light. Thank you.

- Officer Sandral"

Well that brightened my mood I suppose. I went inside and changed. I looked at myself in the mirror. I'm a scout. Low rank but nonetheless I'm a Republic soldier. This is exciting. Time to pack my things and get off this hydro rock. I wonder what I'll be doing and why I need belongings. I made my way out my apartment locking it up. I left a short note for Will. Time to head out. I made it to the embassy doors and walked right in. There was the officer waiting for me. "Welcome Jack are you ready to start your first day?" I nodded. "Good, look around the embassy and just wait about 30 minutes and we will be leaving to Kashykk to pick some goods up from the Czerka Corp for Manaan and staying there for 3 or so days to investigate the lower forests upon request". Things began quicker than I expected but this didn't sound so bad. I walked around met other scouts looked at the ship. Nothing special. I did notice a picture in the lobby you enter after exiting the docking bay. Some ships are banned from Manaan. One that caught my interest reads

"The Ebon Hawk banned after poisoning kolto.

Ship Information:
The Ebon Hawk was used by several crime lords and gang leaders arrived here with several people including three Jedi..."

Interesting. There was more but no time to read we had to go. My officer ordered everyone to their assigned ship. We all were given squadron numbers. I was number 7. There were three ships- Captains ship, squadron 5 ship and squadron 7. They brought these two specifically because they were scout squadrons. We all boarded and I sat next to one young man about 17. I had spoken briefly with him in the lobby. His name is Damon. He was kind of a energetic person more childish than 17, human like me though. It seemed all the Republic soldier's were human which was odd."Hey your Jack from the embassy! Aren't you excited?" I was. But I couldn't say yes. I felt as if something was gonna happen."Yes I'm Jack, and you're Damon correct?" He nodded. We were all strapped in 4 people a squadron. This trip seemed painless but something was calling me again. But not pain like before more so a warning. I ignored it. Just marked it off as pre-flight butterflies. I feel the engines rev up. "Officer Sandral speaking to Captains of ships 5 and 7. Launch from bay by my call, on my count. 5...4...3...2.." I felt my stomach drop on- "1.. Takeoff!" All ships rise up from the docking bay and shoot forward. I knew it wasn't that fast but to me, it was really fast. I had never been on a ship before only twice. Once as a baby, and now. And then the officer said: "Everyone, hit hyperdrive now, and we'll be off to Kashykk." That's when my stomach truly dropped. We were in hyperdrive for around 3 minutes basic time. It wasn't as bad as I hear. We're now out of hyperdrive because we were close. I could see the planet from here, nearly the size of a large marble from the ship. "Officer Sandral come in!This is squadron 5 captain! Relay to all ships two enemy ships coming in! ready the canno-" static. Than fire beside the window across from me. I knew something like this would happen. A big power surge like noise goes off in our ship and a blue plasma shield goes over the window like a blanket as I watch squadron 5 ship burn a metal slate drops right in front of my face. "Xai-Con, to the lower turret, ASAP!" I jumped up. These cargo ships were pretty large. I ran to the ladder and got on the bottom turret and began firing. I had another flashback of the feeling I got when first sitting down on the ship. I knew something was wrong. I guess this is what it's like being on the good side.
