Emma
All I can manage to do is sit there with my eyes bugging out of my head. My legs are free. I should be running away from this thing. But, no, I’m just going to sit here and wait to be eaten. “Emma you are so stupid,” I mentally scream to myself.
A slender boney hand reaches for me. Instinctively I cringe away.
“F-fuck you,” is all I can manage to choke out.
The monster in front of me instantly withdraws its hand and makes a gesture that I can only assume meant to get out of the trunk. I hesitate but carefully crawl out, making sure to stay as far away from it as possible. Maybe I can manage to escape.
“Don’t even think about running. You won’t get far,” my captor states, almost like it can read my mind.
A spell of dizziness washes over me. I think I’m going to start hyperventilating. Oh God, think Emma, think. I’ve been kidnaped, I’m in the middle of nowhere, my captor is a monster, and I can’t run. What to do? I know, let’s try talking to it. Idiot. That is the worst idea you have ever had. So of course I start talking to it.
“W-Why? Why did you take me?” I tremble.
Stony laughter. That monster is laughing at me. “Heh so I see you’re brave enough to speak you parasite.”
“Yes,” I whisper through quivering lips. “Now answer my question.”
“The Consortium requires you. It was necessary. Now get in the car.” Terrible green eyes stare into mine.
Looking at it brings another surge of unsteadiness. No. I cannot pass out here. My etermination brings out anger and bravado.
“The Consortium, whatever that is, said it was necessary? Kidnapping a minor was necessary? Is that what you think? Why should I get in a car with you? Sickos like you are the reason the world is in chaos!” I can’t help but shout these words at my monstrous abductor as lightning flashes in the sky.
“Like me huh? You humans have no clue what chaos is. The truth would liquefy your pitiful minds and cause them to run out your no….” The demon stopped abruptly and stared at something behind me.
A hand digs into my shoulder causing me to yelp in pain. Does my kidnapper have an accomplice? I slowly turn around not daring to guess what has grabbed ahold of me.
The ghastly mannequin blankly looks at me while I scream. I can’t do anything else as it roughly starts to pull me away. Eventually the clumsy doll from hell has me faced the opposite direction. My brain can’t make sense of what I see.
Thick black clouds fill the sky sending amethyst lightning to the ground. Where ever the lightning strikes a marionette claws its way into existence. A flash in the corner of my eye nearly blinds me and a new puppet bursts out of the ground zombie style. I am mesmerized by the unearthly scene for what seems like hours. My brain barely registers five snaps beside me.
