"Omg what happen!" Carmen asked in surprise.
"She is going to be fine." Said Janes doctor.
Just after that Janes parents walked in and looked right at Carmen with a sad smile. They gave Carmen a hug and continued to fill Carmen in to what happen.
"She was driving to the store to get some food for dinner and when she got there someone hit her with their car while she was walking in." said her mother with a confused face.
"Please tell me they caught who ever did this, right!" Carmen said with frustration.
"The police are checking the cameras as we speak." Janes father said.
"Good!" Carmen said with a relived look in her eyes.
Carmen walked over to Janes bed and looked at her pale face. She was hooked up so many things it was kinda scary. The nurse walked in to check and see how Jane was recovering after surgery.
"How is she?" Carmen asked with a scared tone in her voice.
"She's doing great for someone who just had a major surgery like that." The doctor told Carmen and Janes parents. Their faces lite up with a sign of relief
" Oh, thank God!" Janes mother said.
"Thank you!" Carmen and Janes father said in unison. The nurse walked out and so did James parents to talk about what's going to happen next.
Jane can you hear me?" Carmen asked with a tear rolling down her cheek.
"You won't believe what happen today." Carmen said with a little laugh.
"John asked me out on a date finally." Carmen said trying to help the seriousness. Carmen looked around trying to find a chair. She brought the chair closer to Janes bed. Carmen grabbed Janes cold hand. A tear released out of Carmens eye. Which made her laugh a little.
" You over here making me cry now." Carmen said with a smirk on her face.
" We are going to get through this, i will be with you every step of the way, no matter what." Carmen said very seriously.
" Look at this i'll be a better boyfriend then Conner." Carmen said with a smile on her face.
Janes parents walked in and asked if they could have some alone time with Janes, which i could understand. I said my good byes and walked out of Janes room. On my way to the car i had a melt down, what was i going to do if she didn't make it. My life would be over. No one to tell my secrets and no one to help me get a boyfriend. She was my best friend for 8 years. I don't even no how to live with out her. I calmed myself down and continued walking to my car which was a Jeep Wrangler. I started driving out of the parking lot and headed home. I walked in to see my parents fighting. Probably about the same stupid thing. So i ran upstairs into my bedroom. I turned on my music and my favorite song was playing. So i turned it up and laid on mu bed staring at my ceiling. It became really late so i decided to go to sleep considering it was a school night. Woke up the next morning to my alarm clock ringing. Stood up and walked to my bathroom to take a shower. After getting out of the shower i put and a white and navy tie-die shirt on with black ripped jeans and i slide on my air force ones.
"Hey sis!" My brother yelled to me while i was walking down the stairs to eat breakfast.
"Gosh do you have to be so loud?" I said to him while i glared at him.
"You know it!" He said sarcastically.
I continued walking to the kitchen. Grabbed a bowl, box of Captain Crunch, jug of milk, and a spoon. Sat at the dining room table and ate real quick so i wouldn't miss the bus. When we made it to school know one even knew about Jane so i tried not to bring it up. When it became 3rd block my friend Avery asked, "Where's Jane today, i haven't seen her?" She said with a smile. I froze which seemed like forever.
"HELLO!" She yelled because i had no answer. I has no clue what to say. Should i tell her that she is in the hospital and have the risk that she will tell everyone in the whole school or should i make up a lie and risk the fact that she may eventually find out and hate me for lying......
