I was taken aback by his statement. No one in my 74 years of life has anyone ever said something so indescribably sweet to me before, but I can't let this get to me. I don't run with the wolves that's, not my thing. I guess you could say I'm a lone wolf.
"So what am I?? Your blood singer?" I asked slightly raising an eyebrow. He gave me the most bewildered look that I have ever seen in my life. It was hard trying to sniffle back a laugh, but I had to.
"Let me guess that's a vampire term?" I simply nodded in response and let him continue on with his thought. "And if I am right shouldn't I be your blood singer?"
"I guess, but I never said you were. You see I'm an old fashioned gal and I am not even able to look at you without, you asking my father first." I said knowingly, but it was very stupid of me to ask. I knew he had know one to ask and soon he would never see me again. He quickly grabbed my hand and intertwined our fingers.
"Well I guess we better go find your father." If I still had the ability to blush, my cheeks would be crimson red.
"I don't even know your name and your holding my hand." He looked down and blushed himself, something I longed to do and I wished I could just just press my cold fingertips to his warm cheek. I could hear his heartbeat quicken and I slowly inched my head closer to his chest. He didn't seem to mind because he instantly brought his chest to my ear and I hummed to the rhythm of his heart. The beating created a beautiful song one that I instantly knew I would never get tired of.
"I'm Seth by the way, Seth Clearwater." Just the sound of his voice made me feel something I've never felt before.
"Eloise, Eloise Mary Nash." He looked up and gently pressed his lips against my forehead. I looked up at him and as our eyes met, fireworks flew. I slowly pressed our foreheads together and enjoyed the warm radiance that came off of it.
"You know, I've never been one to run with the wolves." His face instantly fell and I realized what he must have thought by my statement. "I didn't mean it like that, I'm not one to group up with others. I tend to stay away from all contact. Human and supernatural." I smiled at the end trying to lighten the mood.
"Good I'm glad your not a vampire loving kind of gal." He gave me a beautiful smile. His smile could definitely light up a room.I let a little giggle and then I became completely silent. I haven't heard my own laugh in 74 years. I looked down in both shock and shame.
"Don't be embarrassed, you have a beautiful laugh." He cooed into my ear. I smiled greatly and soon began to hear the movement of feet around us. I knew that we would have to brake out of our moment. He seemed to notice my distress because he cupped my face and slowly began caressing my ice old cheek with the back of his warm inviting fingertips. The foot steps began to get closer and closer and if my ears are correct I'd say it is the most awful person in the world that could have interrupted us. Then right on cue Irina walked into the wood to find Seth and I. She gave us a glare that could cut a man in two.
" Eloise." She tried to say calmly. "What are you doing with that MUT" Irina yelled the last part as I cringed at her words. Seth put an arm around my waist, tracing circles on my skin over my dress. It was a very comforting gesture and it defenitly kept me calm and at peace. "He was one of those BEASTS that KILLED Laurent!" She screamed. Soon Emmett and Jasper were by Seth and I.
"Irina what do you think your doing blowing up on everyone. Leave Ellie alone and go back to wallowing in self-pity on your own." Emmett yelled. I've never a day in my existence have heard him yell at anyone before, but I guess it worked because Irina left without another word. "You two should get back to the wedding." Both Emmett and Jasper left but not before they both turned back and winked at us.
