The babysitter/bodyguard

Job? Yeah right.

"I have a proposition for you." a man with graying hair said to a young woman "you have become friends since you saved her a while back from some muggers."

"what of it?" the woman asked with her eyes closed as her short black hair in a disconnected hair cut with the front reaching passed her chin and the back trimmed to her hair line as her bangs were in a choppy angle covering her left eye and nearly covering her right.

"I'd like to pay you to protect my daughter, to look out for her while I'm away on business like I am on regular bases."

"You basically want to hire me to bodyguard / babysit your teenage daughter." the woman said calmly crossing her arms.

"To put it simply"

"Fine" the woman said "so long as she's aware of it. I hate hiding secrets from those I care for."

"Of course" the man said

Yet what the two of them didn't know at that time was that the girl they were talking about had accidentally stumbled in to a potentially dangerous series of events.

(Two days later)

"Damn" I said with a sigh as I waited outside a relatively nice looking house with a pair of big black sunglasses over my eyes.

'Look after her Miss Damino. She is very important to me especially since her mother died.' I remembered the man saying so here I was waiting as a young 16 year old girl with long black hair

"Oh miss Damino" said girl said walking out and smiling slightly upon seeing me

"Heading to school?" I asked and she looked down at the ground before she nodded sadly "tell me Natsumi what's got you so down?" I asked.

"I lost something yesterday" she said and I looked concerned

"Then I'll help you look for it OK." I said and she smiled at me "so what is it that you lost?"

"I lost the cat charm my mother made for me" Natsumi said and I stopped walking beside her as she continued "huh something wrong Miss Damino?"

"No it's nothing" I said walking passed her "let's get you to school then while you're gone I'll search for some clues, I'll meet up with you after your classes have ended and we can come up with a better plan then. For now get to class ok" I said since we arrived outside her school

"Right see ya later Miss Damino" Natsumi said running off.

As the day passed I had searched high and low for the little cat charm but ended empty handed before I returned to Natsumi's high school only to be dragged away to some cafe in order to invest in the help of a recovery service called the Get Backers.

'The honky tonk cafe?' I thought as I looked at the door where a man with pink hair in a low pony tail under a bandana and a pair of sunglasses.

"Will I be able to meet those people if I wait in there?" Natsumi asked the man since he had just taken a badly made poster off the window.

"Yep" the man said opening the door "welcome to the honky tonk" the man said holding the door for Natsumi and me.

"Thanks mister." Natsumi said happily

"So I take it you work here" I asked

"Yeah I work here and I own this place." the man said and I nodded

"I see." I said

Soon Natsumi and I both ordering something to drink yet our drinks seemed quick to disappear as we waited for the recovery service.
