Against the trunk of the tree
I sat quietly as I began to dose off
Listening to the rustling leaves
And feeling the cold grass under my feet.
A squeak is what I heard after
A white rabbit came out the rabbit hole
And hopped and hopped and hopped
Looking like a bouncy glowing ball.
The rabbit pauses beside me
Then claws quickly at my dress
Before it disappears back into the hole
I smile in amusement.
