"How come you're late again Bryer?'' Said my boss as I cross the door. ''Why are you still asking Jerry? My alarm didn't go off, my cat was plus, my mother called." I said like it was an usual thing do to. "Yeah, yeah. Just hurry up." He said as he got back to his coffee machine. I dropped my coat and my bag in my locker, grabbed my "Jerry's coffe shop" shirt, put it on and went back in front to the coffee shop counter. "What can I do for you today?" I asked as a customer came in. He ordered his coffee and left. I turned to Jerry who had a severe look on his face. "Come on now, don't be mad! It's not the first time I'm late." I said. "It's not the first but don't worry, it,ll be the last." He said. I leaned on the counter and sight. As I thought of being fired once again, I heard the door bells ring. As I got up, I saw the one of the prettiest thing ever. She was not too tall, maybe 5' 2". She had green eyes and blonde hair. She was standing next to another girl and she laughed after her friend said something. Her friend? Hopefully she's just a friend. They went to a table and sat there. "You go, I'll take care of the counter." Jerry said. I took a piece of paper and went to their table. As I made my way there, I heard her friend say "I'll have a hot chocolate with extra sugar!" She stood up and went to the bathroom.
The closer I got, the more I was losing my mind. I reached her table and took a seat in front of her. "Hey what are you doing here?" I asked. She looked at me, confused. "Uhm I came to drink a coffee with my friend!" she said, laughing at how nervous I must have looked. "Oh yeah, sure. Nevermind, I... I didn't ask anything right?" I said with a slight chuckle. Her friend came back from the bathroom, sat beside her and looked at her with a questionning look. "Who's that?" Her friend asked as if I wasn't even there. "Bryer! Come on we have tables waiting for their orders." Jerry shouted. "Okay, I have to go." I said with an awkward smile and got up. Right before I left I turned around and said "Sorry, I may have to take your orders." They both laughed at me and proceed to give me their orders.
As time passed, the less crowded the shop was. The two girls were still sat at their tables. Jerry had to leave 10 minutes ago and gave me full charge of the shop. His exact words were "Don't mess this up or else you're out. Got it?" I stared at her pretty face for a while before they got ready to leave. "So was it good?" I said as they approached the counter. "As always." Said the cute one. "You're a regular?" I asked. "What?" She said unsure. "Uh, you come here often?" I said. "Oh! Yeah, sorry." She said laughing. She reached for her pocket and got her wallet out. "Stop eye fucking her girl!" Said her friend laughing, on the verge of tears even. "Thanks... Kate." She said looking at my name tag. She handed me her money and said "you can keep the change." They made their way out, her friend waving goodbye at me. I looked at the money in my hand and chuckled. Who is she?
