Oneshot - The Mission

"So what mission are we taking today?" Natsu asked in his usual happy tone while looking at the board. 

"Why did I have to come.." Lucy moaned. 

"Oh oh I know!" A pinkette child squeaked.

"Hm? Which is it Natsuki?" Natsu asked. The small girl tried to jump up and reach one of the papers but failed. Lucy smiled and lifted the small child as she reached the one she wanted. Natsu leaned his head on Lucy's shoulder while reading the job review. He grinned.

"Whatcha think Happy?" Natsu asked the blue cat who was in the middle of yawn. The cat then nodded.

"Aye!"

"Well it's decided then!" Lucy said happily. The girl grinned happily.

"I can finally go with mommy and daddy!" the pinkette squeaked happily and loudly. The entire guild cheered for the small long haired girl in her mom's arms.

"Yo Old man is this job alright?" the pink headed male asked. (Bare with me I'm still waiting on the new vol to get to my library, along with I dont even know if hes alive {spoilers oops})

"Just as long as you keep her safe, she's only 5, you don't want your first child to die because of her reckless dad, right?" Makarov asked raising an eyebrow. Natsu chuckled.

"Reckless? NaH! We'll be fine, see ya!" he said happily and the four walked off. The entire guild sighed. The pinkette tripped a few times while walking with her parents. 

"Natsu are you sure this is fine?" Lucy asked worriedly. The male looked over his shoulder at the small girl with chocolate eyes. 

"Of course, we've been practicing," Natsu said giving the small girl a signal. She nodded with a smile and intensely focused on her palm as a flame arose. She smiled at her parents. Lucy wasn't convinced obviously.

"Natsu!" she exclaimed. He looked at her and sighed.

"Let the child have her happiness, you know a childhood doesn't last forever," he said looking at her. Lucy rose an eyebrow. "Oh Lucy, you know the disasters that happen with Fairy Tail, saying later and in the future to her is like saying for her to wait another eternity," he added. Lucy smiled.

"Where'd that passion come from?" Lucy asked raising an eyebrow. Natsu smirked.

"My child self of course!" He said happily.

"Ah right, the memories of how Gray would beat you up, ah~ those stories get me going~" she teased. Natsu make a soft growl with his tongue. Natsuki laughed childlishly at the couple. 

"I love you!" I squeaked happily surprising both. They smiled at her. Natsuki had a secret plan, she looked at the paper in her hands smiling. Her parents didn't seem to read it properly. "Hey Happy," she called over the blue cat who instantly flew on to her head. She pointed to  sentence they all missed. Happy grinned.

"Natsuki~" he warned.

"It'll be so much fun~" she reassured happily. 

When the four got to their destination. The couple froze while the cat and the pinkette female were chocking on laughs. It happened to be a maid cafe, but not the usual maid cafe's you'd usually go to, it was one of those crazy outfits one. 

And the job? Oh they just had to be one of the waitress people while showing some "magic". The two grownups looked at their five year old daughter who was smiling widely.

"Oh Natsuki..." Lucy started. "Why did you have to be more like your father..." Lucy whined. Natsu was struck with an arrow, mentally.

"Owch Luce, I love you too," he mimicked his death. Lucy flicked his forehead.
