"Okay, now wait a second" I said knowing just what I was doing. "There is no way Dumbledore could have defeated Voldemort".

Jae stood up in a cotton candy induced rage and move frighteningly towards me. "You idiot" she exclaimed while throwing a burnt kennel corn towards me . "Do you read?"

"Yes, an-"

"Did you read every single book in the Harry Potter Series?"

"No" I said dismissively

"Did you spend minutes agonizing over every single plotline?"

"No, but admittedl-"

"Did you not sleep for days after reading the Deathly Hallows?"

"Okay, now wai-"

"Did you contemplate what you would do with your life now that there was no more Hogwarts?"

"Okay crazy, you win" I said defeatingly, now more scared and seriously questioning what had gone through my mind to have wound up Jae in such a way.

"Okay honey" Jae said with megawatt smile on her face, "Just as long as you agree that I am right"

"Sheesh, I agree". I reached forward to grab the remote, flipping to a new episode of Spongebob.

"Ooh, Miss Puff goes to Jail"

"You're a child Jae"

"As long as I pay reduced prices, let me live"

Suddenly, we were startled by a loud screeching sound coming from the kitchen. It sounded like two parrots were competing for the "How many eardrums can I burst" prize but a winner just couldn't be found. I grabbed Petey's (although he hated me calling him that) metal baseball bat and cocked it behind my shoulder. 

I turned to give Jae a smile, "Just to be safe"

She muted the TV as we both turned towards the kitchen. I dimmed the lights and we quietly approached the hallway. 

"Ladies first" Jae said as she slowed down her pace.

I reached the kitchen and slowly proceeded with caution. I angled the bat a and waited to hear the noise again. "SCREEEEE-" I swung towards the culprit and immediately heard an "Oof". Jae turned on the light and I looked down to see a bundled up Bisi looking at me with betrayal.

"Jesus Odette, did you forget I was sleeping over?"

"Are you stupid, do you know my mom?"

"Your mom loves me"

"And I love you, alive that is"

Bisi turned gray and slowly crawled towards the kitchen door. "Is she home?" he whispered.

"Mommy, are you HOME" I yelled just to scare Bisi. She wasn't home of course, but I just couldn't help but to frighten him.

"Are you stupid Ode"

"Don't call me that Bisi"

Abruptly, we heard footsteps walking towards the kitchen. I cocked my bat again and prepared to assault. 

"Relax Odette, it's me" Jae said as she revealed herself from the dark". 

I turned to her and sighed. "You were about to get it". I kicked Bisi out of my house before my mom could beat the spirit out of me and Jae and I went back to our sugar induced spongebob coma's.
