i walked into school and smiled and waved to everyone who said hi, it was my fake smile that was plastered on my face like a plastic beauty queen as I walked to face my self proclaimed hell of the day. My bestfriend lyon bounded to me and threw one arm around my sholder "whats up dude, ready for another year in hell" he asked in his boisterously loud voice. i swear he sounded like a lion roaring when he spoke. i flinched from the loudness but gave him my sarcastic remark "ofcourse, just awesomely ready". Lyon burst out laughing and his laugh reveberated the whole building as he caught on to my sarcastic remark. lyon was one of the few people who understood/got me in this little hell hole that i called school. He knew how much stuff here irked me and he always made fun of me for it. he didnt understand why i worked so hard to hide my true nature but he understood and accepted me for who i am. we have been friends since the first day of freshman year when he walked up to me and said hi. I gave him one of my signature fake smiles asI replied to his greeting. " yikes dude, did i do something wrong or are you in pain, whats with the grimace" he retorted back whie trying not to laugh at my expresion.i was so caught of guard that i jerked in surprise when he said that. nobody had been able to decipher my fake smile that fast before. everyone always took it as me being really friendly and nice but this stranger had figured it out in a second. i thought maybe something was off, maybe i gave myself away, maybe i didnt smile right. i tried to smile again, his time more wider but he replied once again to my astonishment "wow, you must really be in serious pain dude, to keep screwing up your face that weirdl"., this just bothered me a bit more, so i decided to try even more. i smiled wider, more dazzling,forcing it as much as i could, he stared at me for a moment an threw his hands up in air. "ok, ok, i get it, you dont like me, you dont want to be disturbed, you want to be left alone, I get it, i ll leave you alone now".,he said as he started to turn away from me. I was shocked and surprised by his reply that i grabbed his hand beforei could stop myself and before he could leave. he turned and looked at me, "how did you know" i asked trying to figure out wahat gve me away. he smiled a little before going ahaead to answer my question. "your lips were spread out as if you were smiling but your eyes were hard and asking me to back away or you would do something to me that will give my nightmares for years to come, so for fear of my life, i am gonna back away from you now" he answered. i was taken back by his answer. he was so percptive it was incredible and before i knew i burst out laughing, a real geniune laugh now. " i knew you could do it" he said to me, "do what" i asked, "show emotion" he answered. I looked at him through new eyes, "you are very intersting and perceptive, we can be friends" i said. "sure sure, "whatever dude, my name is lyon by the way" he said non challantly. i told him my name as we walked into school talking and we have been friends ever since then. Because of his boiterous and sometimes spacy nature, people mistook him for stupid but he was acting too, he was one of the smartest and most perceptive people i knew, he just pretended like he didnt notice or didnt know to avoid complications and stress. As we walked together to our lockers, "whats on you agenda this morning" I asked, "I got to go check on my little brother" he answered. "raven is hardly a little boy anymore and why do you need to chek on him" i said. " i m not talking about raven he replied", "you have another little brother ?" i asked " yes Koby, I have 2 little brothers and 2 little sisters" he replied, "what, i answered , since when", " since you ve known me", he answered. " how come i didnt know about this" i asked again. he raised one eye at me as he replied "because incase you have forgotten mr i dont care about anything else going on around me, you never asked and whenever i mentioned brother, you just assumed i was talking about raven and whenever i mentioned his name, you usually tuned out and never asked who i was talking about and you have never visited me before either, so as i mentioned before, you didnt know cuz you didnt care to know"i felt bad upon hearing that. i was a reall horrible friend, how could i not have known about his family. " i m sorry" i said in remorse. " its ok he replied, i understand thats who you are and i accept that part of you and I m not angry or bothered by it" he said this honestly and matter of factly. i smiled at him, genuinely, i made a right choice to pick him as a friend then, he understood me perfectly, and never made ras judgements about me. ''my brother is a new freshman too", i added, "i know, you told me" he replied as we made our way to fresman hallway. i felt a pang of guilt again upon hearing that, i needed to start paying more attention to him too. we walked in amicable silence as we said hi to some friends we met and smiled and waved at some gigling girls who were trying to flirt with us plus some other students who just looked at us in awe, yes we were an attractive pair and we knew it. however whereas i plastered a fake smile on my face, lyon smile was genuine and warm and welcoming, hemhas that ability to warm people wit his smile. he was a direct contrast to me but we were still awesome friends. As we rounded the coner, i heard a commotion as a very loud obnoxious yet interesting voice declared his sexiness and supremacy to the crowd while making people laugh at his jokes. I was a bit curious to find out who was causing this much crowd the first day of school but i thought against it and hoped i could avoid the mess and just find my brother. Before i could walk further i heard what sounded like my brothers voice coming from the mess of crowd there. do you know what, screw it i thought, my brother can take care of himself, i coud always check on him later when he was int he center of a fucking disaster zone. As I turned to ask lyon if he saw his brother and if we coud leave now, he walked past me into the center of the mass and grabbed a small ball of energy by the collar. the person in question was trying to kick at him and was yelling profanities at him in a voice as i recognized as the source of the problem in this hallway to begin with. I know he was kind of annoying but i didnt understand why lyon had to pick on him, i ve never known lyon to do that to person before, he was sincerly a nice person. " let go of me, lyon, you tyrant" the mass of energy spoke, how did he know lyon and whats going on, an then it suddenly clicked, this must be his brother he was talking about, but he looked so different, where lyon was blond, this guy had brown hair that looked almost black. lyon dragged him towards me , and introduced him, " koby meet my irritating little brother, mink but we all call him minx". "Mink" I repeted like the animal, i asked, " yes he answered, my mother was a bit crazy". eccentric was the word i was thinking but crazy worked as well. by this time, mink or minx or whatever had manged to struggle out of his brother and turned to glare at him. " did you just call me irritating" he asked as he put his hand on his waist and cocked his hips to one side, my eyes slid down past his hip to his ass and something in me stired and when i say something i meant the organ in my lower region, and by that you know what i mean. i was a bit surprised at that but i just ignored it as my eyes went back to the siblings arguing infront of me. " yes I called you irritating you annoying little tyke, or would you have preffered, exasperating, infuriating, maddening, obnoxious or maybe i should just say irksome" lyon said. " And by that you mean sexy as hell, desireable, sultry, tempting, awesome or maybe you just mean seductive isnt it" mink answered not fazed a bit by his brother and with everyword his spoke, he moved his body very alluringly and my pants became a little tighter. As i looked around, all eyes were concentrated on him and some very hungrily as if they wanted to devour him. that kind of irritated me a bit but I pushed that thought back too and decided to break it up before things when too far. " ok as much as I m enjoying your witty little banter, I think its time for us to go" I spoke to lyon as i noticed it was almost time for class. I gave him a very sweet fake smile, then changed it to a smirk a and a look that said "CHALLENGE ACCEPTED", he look taken aback by my sudden look, the smirk dropped from his lips, i turned away from him and started to walk away, i turned one last time to to smile at him again and threw him my own challenege as i walked away.
