Chapter 1, Belief

~Past~

The boy who had strangely orange coloured hair stayed up all night making a present for his friends and himself. He finally made it after countless hours of getting glue stuck to his hands or having to restart because it kept getting random creases and looking crappy to give as a present. He wiped his brow and began thinking about his friends would think about it. They'd probably throw it out but let's not be a pessimist of things. So instead he thought about them keeping it as a friendship gift, and how it would bring them good luck. He would just have to wait an hour until the star festival at school to see their reaction.

~Present~

As the four friends waited, Zeke opened his bag and grabbed something.

"Yes, it's not ruined!" He exclaimed.

"What's not ruined?" asked a blonde girl called Deanna

"Oh, just a thing a made yesterday!" replying while finally revealing the item.

It was a star with different colours for its shards. From to the top going in a clock-wise motion, the colours were Orange, Red, Blue, Green and Yellow which were the favourites among his friend. And with each shard, there were smaller stars, this time only one colour, and that colour was the same colour as the shard. They were dangling from it.

"Wow that's so cool!" exclaimed Mikayla, a girl that had black hair with some strands dyed blue.

"So I'm guessing we get those smaller charms?" guessed Austin who could read Zeke like a book. He had red hair.

"Ehehe, yeah how'd you know?" Zeke joked.

"Tch! I could've done better into making that. Look at the crumples," scoffed Kyle who was jealous of the amount of attention his friend was getting. This boy had green hair.

"Geez, chill out idiot, you don't have to be jealous of his talent" joked Austin.

    "What did you say punk?"

"Hey screw you dude your freakin annoying"

    "Bring it!"

Ah, his friends were fighting again. To prevent this from happening he spoke up and tried to break the conflict,

"Uh guys, if you don't mind why don't I distribute these charms to you."

    "Yaay~ Friendship charms!" Deanna bounced.

"What do these things mean anyway?" asked Mikayla

"Well... I made them to bring us good luck! And to us, to be friends forever~" Kyle shyly chuckled

As Zeke distributed these to his friends, they all looked happy from getting a gift. Deanna made her charm into a hairpin and stuck it into her hair, Mikayla made it into a bracelet, Austin attached it to his belt and Kyle wore it as a necklace. Zeke followed what his friends did and wore it as a ring. They put the big star in the middle and continued watching the stars. They talked, joked, laughed and some sung songs. It was like the conflict was already forgotten.

'I wish, things would stay like this,' The boy thought. Relaxed at the view he viewed the stars again. He looked at them with curious eyes and started thinking about life again.
