I opened my eyes slowly, the light of the operating table nearly blinding my new eyes. I sat up slowly and my brain kept yelling at my limbs to just run around and touch things. I clenched and unclenched my fist slowly, mesmerized at how I was able to move perfectly at such a young age. I felt my hair gently and couldn’t help but stroke its silky smoothness.
“So this is what it’s like to be alive,” I spoke slowly, still getting used to speech.
I was amazed at how mature my voice sounded; a normal person would never have guessed that I’d only been alive for a couple of minutes.
“So you’re finally awake,” a voice spoke from the corner.
I looked up slowly as a man with shoulder-length pink hair and amber eyes stepped into the light. He wore white rectangular glasses and a white outfit with black stripes here and there.
“I assume you know who I am,” he smiled slightly.
“You are my creator,” I said without hesitation.
“Good girl! And you are?” he asked.
“I am the result of Test 234,” I spoke quietly.
“Hm, it might be more fitting if I gave you a name… Test Subject 234 doesn’t really have a nice ring to it,” he laughed in amusement. “How does Mika sound?”
“I like that name!” I said happily.
“Good. Well come along, Lord Aizen will want to see the results of his latest test,” he said, walking over to me and offering me his arm.
I held onto it as I pulled myself off the table slowly. My feet touched the ground and I slowly put the weight of my body onto them. I took baby steps forward, still clutching onto Szayel’s arm before I managed to get used to walking on my own and then followed along obediently behind him.
We left the lab and proceeded to walk down the palace’s perfectly white corridors. Szayel’s shoes clopped along quietly whereas my bare feet made a small patter as I ran my hand along the walls, a huge smile spread across my face.
We soon came to the end of one corridor and were met with a pair of huge double doors. Szayel knocked tentatively before taking a few steps back so that he was stood behind me.
“Enter,” a quiet voice from the other side answered.
I looked back at my Master as he nodded his head in encouragement. I pushed open the doors and almost immediately I felt an immense surge of intense spiritual pressure. My eyes widened in terror as the sheer force of the pressure forced me onto my knees.
“Lord Aizen! I beg of you Sir, please stop! She is the result of the test we have been working on for the last few months! She is barely an hour old! She hasn’t had the time to learn to deal with spiritual pressure yet!” Szayel begged.
I gasped for breath as I felt as if the air from my lungs had been sucked out. Then it stopped, almost as quickly as it had hit me. I collapsed onto the floor, panting intensely as I tried to collect myself once more.
“I apologize,” the same voice I heard from before spoke once more.
I looked up and noticed that I was in a rather large room with a throne at the top of the room with its back currently faced towards us, hiding the occupant’s identity. The throne then spun around, revealing a young man.
He had brown hair slicked back across his head with a single strand hanging in his face and harsh, piercing brown eyes. He was wearing a similar uniform to Szayel’s, white, but with no black except on the inside of his jacket.
