Part 12

Two weeks later....

You and Charlie were again back to acting. The movie was half way through done. You were starting to become really tired of acting and when you told Charlie that he chucked,"Welcome to my world!" You laughed at that. Right now you were at the studio acting like always. Charlie wasn't talking with the girls that much now but once in a while he would. Patrick and you were especially good friends and Mia too. You two were BFFs.

When you were about to leave with Charlie, Mia came up to you asked if you would like to come to dinner with her. You told Mia yes and said to Charlie about the dinner too. You hopped in her Mini Cooper.

"I just love your mini!" you exclaimed.

"Oh! Thanks! It was originally my dad's when he was young but he gave it to me. I love it now."

"Cool! I've always loved the coopers since I was young."

"Sweet."

Mia soon arrived at an American diner. "I thought you'd probably miss your homemade American food," she said.

"Aw...thank you! Your the best!" and gave her a hug.

You both entered the diner. There was one of those counters with swirly seats and there were also old fashioned booths. You guys sat on by the counter with the swirly chairs. Mia spinned and you laughed. Your ordered a cherry coke and Mia ordered a Shirley Temple. You started talking when a cute teenage boy entered the room. He had wavy black with big blue eyes. He sat next to you. Mia nudged you and whispered,"One hottie sitting next to you!" You giggled and the waiter came with your drinks. You ordered a hamburger when Mia got a crab cake. She soon said," I need to go to the loo," and left you. You gave her look like don't-leave-me-here but she ignored it. You sighed. The boy looked at you and said,"Nice friend to got."

"Ha, yah. Thanks."

"I'm Griffin."

"___. I'm not from around here."

"I could tell."

"Really? How?"

"Instincts."

"Hahaha, nice. Oh and by the way, nice name. You don't hear that name often. "

"Thanks. You have a gorgeous name too."

You blushed. "Thanks."

Your food came out.

"Hamburger. Nice choice," Griffin said.

"Thanks. Their like my favorite food, except donuts. "

"Donuts! They're amazing! I could eat them all day if I wanted to!"

You laughed. "You have a beautiful laugh you know," he said.

You blushed like crazy. A strain of hair was down and Griffin took it and put it behind your ear. He and you smiled. "Well I better go," he said.

"Nice talking to you!"

"Cheerio!"

"Bye!"

He left and Mis was standing behind you the whole time. She had her mouth opened. "You got yourself a boyfriend," she said.

"No I do not! I don't like him! Remember?! Charlie?!"

"I do, but this is your chance! He's cute! Funny! And so romantic! Did you see how he pulled your hair back?"

"Yah, but..."

"No buts! Did he give you his number?"

"No. That's why it's not him!"

"Hmm...I don't think so."

Mia pulled from under the placemat a paper with a number. "Call him later today!"

"No! I like Charlie, Mia! The way he talks, laughs, smiles, holds your hand, looks into your eyes! He's perfect!"

"Whoa...I did not know that you liked him that much."

"Yes! From the moon and back, Mia!"

Your conversation ended there and you guys ate. After you were done, Mia drove you home, said your goodbyes, and Charlie was in the kitchen, drinking orange juice. You thought about what you said to Mia about Charlie. Every single word was true. He was perfect and beautiful. You kinda loved him more than liked him .

"Hey! How was it?" he asked.

"Fun."

Your phone rang. It was your older brother Tyler. He was a freshman in Hillsdale College. That's where you also wanted to go to college. You headed upstairs and answered.

You: What's up big bro?"

Tyler: Nothing sis. Just checking up on how the movie was going.

You: It's going well. Yah. How's school?

Tyler: Good. How's Charlie?"

You: Fine and dandy.

Tyler: Oh, today at school, I met this amazing girl.

You: Really? That's surprising.

Tyler: Are you telling me that I'm unattractive?

You: Haha, maybe.

Tyler: Ok when you get home, there's gonna be some problems.

You: Hahaha! Ok what's her name?

Tyler: Eva.

You: Beautiful name. Hmm...Eva ___.

Tyler: Shut up! Any way, should I ask her out? Because maybe she's not into me or something.

You: Oh like your gonna get advise from your youngest sister.

Tyler: Well I can't ask mom or dad because their busy. So...

You: Ok! Ask her out, dumb head! Give it a try!

Tyler: Kk.

You started hearing fighting in the background of the phone.

You: Is their something up with mom and dad?

Tyler: Don't know. They've been fighting pretty often though.

You: Oh. Ok. Well I gotta go. Bye!

Tyler: Bye.

You hung up. You sat on the bed thinking about what Tyler just said. Mom and dad fighting? This was not them. You sighed and changed into your pjs. You turned off the light and went to bed in a deep sleep. Maybe Mia was right about Griffin. Maybe he was your chance, but you still liked Charlie. You felt confused and went on sleeping.
