Prologue:
Warning: This story will be very confusing if you haven't read the first part of this book: The Last Dragonriders.
Ralem and Jaydon, Ralem the Rider, and Jaydon the dragon, have made it to what they think is Dragon heaven. Baroke, a beautiful place that promises them everything they wanted at almost no cost. Here they can roam free, do what they want, be respected and rich. They've only been there for a little over a week, but it is already starting to feel like home. Ralem gets to spend time with his love, Princess Arianna of Grunde, and Jaydon gets to fly anytime he wants and just be himself.
Every dragon has its own powers and Jaydon possesses one of the greatest; power over the air itself. Not only can he control it, but he can be it, and also turn into a human, with a body exactly like that of Ralem's. Hatched less than a month ago, he came out fully grown with all of Ralem's memories.
Ralem can also control the wind, but he has yet to discover all of his powers. Even so, power comes at a price. His beloved family: his sister Sarah, brother-in-law Taylor, and nephew and neices four-year old Tess, seven-year old William, and nine-year-old Aidan all think of him as dead, killed by the 'evil dragon,'
But it is not without opposition. Daemon, an old friend of Arianna's has come back with a gorgeous ice dragon in tow (Fraylon), and from the start the wind elemental dragon (Jaydon) and his Rider (Ralem) decide they don't like them at all. But even as tension grows tight between the two, something, hidden in the dark recesses of Baroke history, raises its ugly head once more to defy the dragon Riders and everything they stand for.
This story starts on a rather ordinary day....
