Only You {A One Direction Fanfiction}

Chapter 2

*Louis's POV*

Also, we just happened to be on the swim team together, so every day at 6:30PM, I would get to see her in her bathing suit. And let me tell you, that made the whole situation even harder. She always looked in every direction but mine during practice. And when she would look in my direction, she would be looking past me like I was invisible.

Sure, I wasn't the best guy in the world, but she should at least give me a try. When I started to focus on what the boys were saying I heard Niall say, "I heard that Jessica is now dating that Cody dude." Anger raced through my veins when I heard this because I absolutely hated Cody, he was perfect for her, and he knew it. He would always flirt with her right in front of me to get me angry, and let me tell you, it always worked. But the thing was that he never truly liked her. He just wanted to get me mad because I was captain of the football (soccer) team, and he lost the chance to be captain because I beat him for it.

"What the hell do you mean they are dating?!" I asked Niall. He looked at me like he had just seen the devil, which was probably what everyone else was seeing too. "J-Jessica and Cody are dating." He whispered. I paced around and finally I stopped pacing and found the closest wall and punched it full force to put a hole in the wall. Everyone just looked at me in disbelief and I gave them a glare and Zayn spoke up and said, "Lou. Can I talk to you for a minute?" I nodded and walked out of the house to the back yard with Zayn trailing behind me.

"Do you want to tell me why you are so pissed? You know you can't have her so why keep on trying?" he asked. I sat on the swing and said "Zayn, you don't understand, she means so much to me. I can't explain it. As soon as I think that I am getting away from her and how I feel, I look at her and fall for her all over again. If I could stop I would, but I can't."

He stood there nodding and we sat there in silence, and he spoke up. "Why don't we go back in and join the boys? We need to rehearse." I nodded, and I walked into the house and down to the basement with Zayn to find Jess sitting on the couch beside Liam and Niall. I took one look at her, and then I didn't say anything. I just left the room and went somewhere where she wasn't.
