-Picture of Corwin without glasses-

Funky Glasses looked up at me with a lazy look. Now I knew the annoyance my friends felt. He also had droopy eyes.

"What are you doing in my seat?"

He looked back down at his book of whatever and shrugged. I sighed, giving up. It was probably on the roster. I sat next to him and faced the window as he read. Then, all of a sudden, he gasped and started rummaging in his bag like a madman.

"What is it, what's wrong?" I asked, feeling a bit concerned.

He didn't answer and pulled out a notebook and a pencil. He scribbled in it furiously and I couldn't help but to try and take a peek. The moment my eyes landed on the page, he closed the notebook.

"Don't look, please..."

I stared at him and nodded slowly, going back to looking out the window while muttering a 'sorry'. I didn't hear anything from him so I pulled out my headphones and my phone and looked for a song.

"Uhm...." I heard, "I recommend Victorious.."

I looked over at Funky Glasses who was looking over my shoulder and at my phone.

I raised an eyebrow, "You listen to Panic?"

He chuckled and nodded, "Yes....who doesn't? They're one of the greatest bands ever."

"One of?! More like THE greatest band of all time!" I retorted, feeling a smile grow on my face.

He adjusted his seating position to where he was slightly closer to me, "I beg to differ, Riley. The Beatles are the greatest band of all time."

I laughed until I realized something, "How do you know my name?"

He shrugged, "You're a pretty popular guy, I always hear people talking about you."

I couldn't help but to smirk, "Really, eh? It's nice to be known around the school."

He smirked back, "You're a cocky little bastard, aren't ya?"

"You have no right to be calling me a bastard, Mister..." I urged him to finish the sentence.

"Corwin...Corwin Hail."

"Right, you have no right to be calling me a bastard, Mister Hail. We just met, remember?"

Corwin nodded, "Yeah, but at least we hit off on the right bat."

I nodded and slid my headphones on, "True."

Corwin went back to his book that he seemed so immersed in while I stared out the window and listened to music. We took off the ground. The airport sat under us, it was a cool sight. I could see a few planes ahead of us. Probably #1 and #2. I took a peek at Corwin, I couldn't help it. He had bags under his eyes upon closer inspection. His head was leaning forward as if he was tired too. I could see him force himself to stay awake. It was kinda sad, to be honest.

"Uhm, you should probably sleep. This flight is gonna take a while." I suggested.

He shook his head, "No....I have a district test to study for, sleep is for the weak at this point."

I raised an eyebrow, "How many nights have you gone without sleep...."

Corwin shrugged, "About six or so..."

I took the book out of his hands and sat on it, "Sleep."

He looked at me and then sighed, "Fine..."
