The white tiles of the room blinded him temporarily. He looked up at the flourescent lights on the celing. His cell door opened abruptly and the guard stepped in.
"Lunch time Dyl." He said. Dylan got up and walked out numbly. He pretended that he had a twich (which it need not be said that it was quite convincing) as he walked down the dreary hallways. He spotted her comming out of the therapy room. She looked weaker than usual. He turned around to face the guard. He pointed at her and said "Friend....eat lunch?" The guard nodded and took Dylan by the arm to Dia. He gave a bashfull smirk and wave as they approached. She remembered their old routine.
She smiled and shrugged and skipped along to the lunch room, while humming ring around the rosie. They were seated together at their own table in the lunch room and left to eat. They glanced around before breaking into normal conversation.
"What news from the good doctor?" Dylan asked.
"He conjured up Fabeena. She told him that my mom tried to burn she and I in our bedroom when I was little. Apparently we hid in a closet, and thereby survived the fire, only to burn our mother and her paramour in their bedroom." She informed him. Dylan huffed.
"Shes full of shit. You wouldn't do that." He said.
"Yea we know that, but the doctor doesn't. Hes buying every lie she feeds him." Dia fumed.
"So what is ur plan of action here, G.I.Jorgeena?" He asked taking a bite of his apple.
Dia shrugged. "She keeps screaming that she can hear everything that we say. She's just gonna stay a step ahead of us, you do know that, right? Dia said. It was Dylan's turn to shrug. Dia sighed helplessly.
"I want to go home Dyl."
"Fabeena burned your home down, remember? This place is all we have. We've done well to make the best of it so far, havent we? I mean we made the guards thing we are completely off our rockers." He smirked at the memories of all the pranks they'd pulled on the guards.
"Dylan, I want out! We need to get out...Besides, I'm tired of sleeping alone, with Fabeena there just screaming in my head." She whined.
"I can't fix the Fabeena fauxpas but I can sneak through the vents to your room again, if you want." He suggested. Dia smiled at the thought. Dylan was such a love.
"Nah, I don't want Fabeena killing you while I'm asleep." She joked. Dylan took another bite from his apple and thought.
"My vent is always open, hun. Pop on over when ever you want." He said with a naughty little smirk. Dia looked around quickly to make sure no one was watching them as they spoke. She leaned over the table quickly and gave Dylan a peck on the forehead.
"Love you." She lip synced to him. He winked and nodded at her. Fabeena only knew what was going on from what ever Dia heard. Lucky for Dia, this meant Fabeena would never know about her feelings for Dylan. That would be a true disaster, if she ever found out.
"By the way, g'morning Fabeena!" Dylan said, as if he had spoken to some one behind Dia.
"She said goodmorning to you too. Ps- she hates you." Dia stated vapidly. Dylan smiled, knowing he had successfully aggravated Dia.
"Dia, I have to go, my guard is giving me a funny look." He said, getting up. They proceeded to go through their old "fool the stupid guards" act and pretend that they didn't know how to hug one another properly. They out streched their arms and then retracted them quickly, giving the impression that they wanted to hug, but couldn't manage to get it right. The guard walked towards them as they finally gave each other a hug along with a smirk and a wink.
"Bye-fr-frienn...friend." Dylan fake studdered with a shy wave.
"Buh-buh-bye Dyl...Dyllllllan!" Dia smirked as she watched them walk away.
