baby2k: i don't need to have known you your whole life to know that there's something wrong. I've gotten to know you. I know you better than most of my friends.

me: my dog died..
me: and i know it's not serious or anything but, gosh he's just been such a big part of my life. we've had him for years. he basically grew up with me and it just feels weird to not have him around. i'm not sure you'll understand.
