I woke up to the sound of my mom and dad arguing, this happens a lot, so I'm pretty much used to it.

"I don't see why you can't come with us Anne!" My dad shouted. "Because James I had an affair with a man from work.." It was silent for a while..'what's an affair?' I asked myself. I heard foot steps coming up the stairs and I ran to my bed acting like I was sleeping. "Amelia wake up, its time to leave" I sat up and rubbed my eyes "Where are we going?" I asked in a tired voice. "Remember when Daddy said his job transfered far away and we have to follow it?" He asked and I nodded. "Well today is the day, now go down stairs and tell mommy to make you something to eat, were gonna be late" I walked down stairs and saw my mom sitting on the couch with her face in her hands. "Mommy?" She looked up right away and smiled "Hi sweetheart" she said setting me down on her lap. "Can you make me some pancakes? Me and Daddy are leaving soon" she placed me down and walked toward the kitchen. "How many do you want?" She asked. "Can I have 2?" She nodded and started making them. Dad walked down stairs with luggage and put them in the car. "You almost done A?" I nodded and hopped off the chair to put on my shoes. "Are you coming mom?" Her face dropped and she shook her head "No honey I'm not" I looked down and back at her "why not??" She looked at dad and back at me "Cause mom has to finish work here" Dad lifted me up and began to walk out. "Wait Daddy! I need to hug mommy goodbye." He set me down and I ran into my moms arms. "I'll miss u mama, I love you" she hugged me tighter, "I love you too sweetie" I looked at her in the eyes and she was crying. "Don't cry mama I'll see you soon." She smiled and cried harder. "Yes, see you later" she said kissing me on the forehead. I ran back to dad and he picked me up and turned to my mom. "The papers will be here by Sunday morning." He shut the door and buckled me in my car seat. "What papers daddy?" He looked at me threw the mirror. "Uhm they're just letters munchkin." I nodded and looked out the window. A couple of minutes went by and my dad carried me out of the car and into the airport. We did the check in and everything and sat down waiting for our flight. "Flight 161 to Sydney Australia is ready" my dad stood up and handed the lady our tickets. He sat me down by the window and waited until the plane was full.

"Amelia wake up, the plane landed" we got off the plane and grabbed our luggage, we stood outside waiting for our ride to arrive. "There he is, come on." We got into the car and drove to a big white house. "Is this our house dad?" He nodded. "Looks like there's a boy your age outside, why don't you go say hi?" He asked. I hopped out of the car and over to the blonde hair boy. "Hello! I'm Amelia" I said smiling. He looked up and looked confused. "Am-el-ia?" I nodded. "Yeah! What's your name?" He seems shy, but that's okay. "I'm Luke." We stared for a little bit not really knowing what to say. "Luke lunch is re- well who's this cute little girl?" I'm guessing his mom asked. "Her name is "Am-el-ia" seems like he has a hard time pronouncing it. "Well nice to meet you, I'm Liz, Luke's mom." I smiled at her and nodded. "So what are you doing all the way out here?" She asked. "My daddy's job transfered so were living here now." I said. "Oh, where were you originally from?" She asked. "Uhm I don't know how to prounounce it, but I know it starts with and 'I" she nodded. "Well you're more than welcome to join us for lunch, were having Mac & cheese." I joined them do lunch and Liz offered to put on movie. "What movie do you like?" She asked me. "Peter Pan!" I said. "Really? That's Luke's favorite movie too!" She put it on and Luke and I were so interested.

After the movie Luke and went outside and starting role playing peter pan. "I'll be Peter pan! You can be Wendy!" I pretended like I was sleeping and saw a shadowy figure pass by me. I sat up and looked around the yard. "Psst Wendy" I heard a whisper from behind me. "Peter?" I asked getting up. "Yeah. It's me, wanna come to Neverland with me?" He asked. "Neverland?" "Yeah its a wonderful place with pirates, mirmaids, and faries! Its also a place where you never grow up, you'll stay a kid for the rest of your life and just have fun!" "That place sounds wonderful! Can we go now" I followed him to his trampoline so that we can pretend to fly. "Peter, I'm human, I don't know how to fly." He took off his hat and pulled out a tiny green thing. "This is pixi dust, it will make you fly for a really long time as long as you believe me in me and yourself, we'll reach our destiny." He sprinkeled some on my head and I began to "fly". "Ready Wendy? Here we goo" we jumped for quite a while and got off. "Well here's never land. He said pointing. "Its such a beautiful place." I said as my feet peacefully hit the sand. "If you look over there, those are the lost boys." I looked over. "I wish I can be a lost boy." We continued to walk and he shouted the word "Duck!" I looked over and we pretened that a bird was a cannon. "Captain Hook!" Screamed Luke. He grabbed my arm and we started running to the tree house. "Amelia! Your dad is here!" Liz shouted interrupting our fantasy. "Mom I don't want meme to go!" Luke said. I turned toward him "Meme?" He nodded. "Yeah your name is hard to say. I shrugged and walked to my dad. "Hey amelia, you having fun?" I jumped into his arms. "Yes daddy, luke and I were playing peter pan" my dad smiled. "I'm glad to hear that, ready to go home?" He asked. "Yeah, bye Luke!" I said waving to him. "Bye Meme!"

3 years later

Every single day Luke & I have been playing peter pan. In his backyard there's a forest, he's never been down there so we decided to follow the path. We found a little pond with a waterfall and the sun shining over it perfectly. "Meme this is going to be our spot, no one but us is allowed to come here, this is our neverland" He said. "You know what we should do?" I asked. "What?" "I've seen videos where people swing from a rope and fall into the water, we should hook the rope onto that branch." I said. "Yeah but where are we gonna get a rope?" "Well we can buy one." "Yeah and who's gonna take us?" "Liz?" "Well, I guess my mom could probably take us, but she wouldn't buy it for that reason." "Then let's say we need it to make our peter pan imagination to life or something." "I guess that will work." We followed the path back to Luke's house and saw liz watering the plants. "Hey guys, where were you?" She asked. "Uhm exploring the woods" Luke said. "Did you guys find anything cool?" He shook his head. "Mom can you take me and meme to the store?" "What for?" "A rope." "And what on earth would you need a rope for?" "To make our imagination come more realistic." "You guys are 7 years old...don't you think youre a little too old to be playing peter pan still." She asked standing up. "No." "Alright, I'll grab my keys, go wait by the car." Luke and I did what she said and she came out unlocking it. We got it and she drove to off to target. "Where would the ropes be mom?" Luke said looking down every aisle. "I think hardware." We went down that section and found a real nice one. "Mom. This one?" "That looks a little big don't you think?" "I think its perfect" luke said and I agreed. "Okay let's go check out then" We paid for the rope and got back into the car. After a while of driving we pulled into the driveway and ran out of the car. Luke had the rope and we made it to our Neverland. "How are we going to get up there?" Luke asked. "Here give it to me, I'll climb the tree." He handed me the rope and I climbed up the tree with my legs in both sides. I tied the rope tightly and secure. "Okay I'm gonna test it out." I shouted. "Okay, just please be careful." I held onto the rope and swung from it into the water. I came out and started laughing. "Oh my god! Luke that was so fun! I actually felt like I was flying!" He walked over to the rope and did the same thing I did. "Wow! Meme I'm so glad we did this!" We splashed eachother for a long time and then relaxed. "I'm so glad I met you meme." He said and I smiled.  "I am to. I'm glad we moved out here" I said. "Uhm when you moved out here I saw your dad, but no your mom. Where is she?" Luke asked hesitantly. "Well she's back home in Indiana. She had an affair with someone from her work." I said. "What's an affair?" Luke asked. I shrugged. "I don't know to be honest." "We'll then I'll look it up." We went back to Luke's house and up to his bedroom. He opened his laptop and typed in "what is an affair?" He read the answer out loud. "An affair is when a married individual has a intercouse with another person with whom they are not married with." Luke read. "Well what's that supposed to me." He looked up at me. "It means your mom did things with another man, and that man wasn't your father. So she cheated on your father." I took a step dad back. "It all makes sense now." I said. Luke came up and hugged me. "That seriously sucks, I'm so sorry meme" I didn't say anything. I just stood there while he hugged me. "Can I stay here tonight do you think?" I asked. "Yeah of course" he said.
