I remember seeing you across the field, water dripping down your hair and uniform soaked with water, and the determination on your face to win, to cross the finish line.

I remember seeing you across the pit, your hands covered with chalk as you raised the twelve pound to your neck, and lowering yourself to throw it as far as you can.

I remember seeing you down the polyurethan, the 5.30 meter pole on your shoulder as you stared down the 10'6" vault skyscraper colossal in high majesty in front of you.

I remember seeing you barricaded in towers of net, trying to grip onto the disc with your fingertips, but careful not to let it slip, and facing the hills behind you.

I remember seeing you kneeling down at the starting line of the track, both hands at your side to wait for the gun to sound, and storming off to glide through the hurdles.

I remember seeing you across the court, right at the very end of the line with the ball in your hand, ready to serve it.

I remember seeing you dribble the ball flawlessly, hand from hand, between your legs, and around the back for show.

I remember seeing you catching the ball and running straight to the goalpost at the end of the field with much want.

I remember seeing you dribble the ball between your feet, crossing anyone who stood in your way and shooting a goal.

I remember seeing you crouching down to eye-level of your opponent, ready to strike him down when the whistle blew.

I remember seeing you raise your hand for the first time when the teacher made an error on the homework and you just had to correct her.

I remember seeing you so passionate about your work on and off the stage that sometimes you could never turn it off until much later on.

I remember seeing you argue your heart out just so you could make a point, sometimes you would lose, but you always knew your way.

I remember seeing you sing until your voice would crack and you had to go home, because you just physically could not sing another note.

I remember seeing you sitting at the sound booth backstage, deep concentration with headphones to block out the distracting sound we make.

I remember seeing you walk down the aisle and on the stage to receive your diploma.

I remember seeing you standing at the podium, giving a speech that no one will ever forget.

I remember seeing you try to hold back a tear while your friends gave you a hug at the end.

I remember seeing you taking pictures with your family and teachers who were still there.

I remember seeing you walk up to me and give me the last hug I will ever get from you.

I remember seeing you drive away to college.

I remember seeing you behind the laptop screen.

I remember seeing you at the front door to visit.

I remember seeing you beside me at the fireplace.

I remember seeing you leave me again.

I remember seeing you sing to your child to sleep.

I remember seeing you blow out your candles.

I remember seeing you reading by candle light.

I remember seeing you sing on stage for the first time.

I remember seeing you dress up for your kid's halloween.

But after that dream has faded, I remember seeing you...

I remember seeing you lying on that hospital bed, thinking about what you could have been.

I remember seeing you and your potential.

I remember seeing you.
