"Mummy, daddy, no!" A little girl screams, shaking in fear. A male and a female lay on the battle ground, dead. I rush over to help them. Something wasn't right. I ran my hand on the female wolf's gown. No blood. I inspected the male wolf. No blood also. The little girl looks at me, her eyes fill with sadness and grief. I feel so sorry for her, I mean that she saw her parents get murdered in front of her eyes.
"Mummy?" The girl's bright blue eyes widen. "Mummy!! You came back to me!" She squeals, throwing her stubby arms around my neck. This is wrong. I'm not her Mum. The shewolf lying on the ground is. "Mummy don't ever leave me again. I love you." I hug her back awkwardly."I love you too... sweetie." I hesitated.
Suddenly a bright white light flashes in my eyes and the scene changes. I watched the little girl grow before my eyes. Her hair became shimmering silver. Her eyes shined like the moon. The woman before me wore a silky, glimmering gown that reached to the marble floor. She turned to me, "Help me. Find my father." She mouthed. Once again, the bright white light burned my eyes.
SMACK! "Wake up your slutty fat ass," My sister, Carly sneered at me. A searing pain went through my cheek as I carefully cradled it. Then, she left and every time she walked, her mini short skirt rose up to reveal her red lacy panties. I looked at her bum in disgust and turned to put my ugly grey dress. I opened my mouth to make a smart remark about her till my wolf stopped me. "Don't say anything. One day we will have our revenge, Ciara." Artelina whispered wisely. I don't get how I have my wolf when I can't shift.
I winced in pain of sleeping on the floor. "I have to make breakfast before they beat me," I thought, and immediately went to the kitchen. "Happy birthday Ciara!" My only friend Rachel cried to me. I smiled genuinely. "Thanks, but we got to make breakfast or else." Rachel's smile turned into a pout. "Fine, party pooper."
After we served breakfast to the greedy wolves, Rachel and I practically ran up to the attic to avoid any beatings. No wolf ever came to the attic except me and Rachel of course. We decorated it with what ever we could find that was attractive to us. It was basically our secret hideout.
"Rachel and Ciara get your fucking shit down here and clean up this mess!" Alpha Jose boomed. "Yes, Alpha," we chorused. Rachel imitated Jose and made weird duck faces. I giggled out loud. We walked down the stairs together and lowered our heads. Suddenly, I smelled something delicious. Cinnamon and mint. "Mate!" I said out loud. My wolf didn't even stir. Was something wrong with her? Artelina just slipped into the black corners in my mind.
A large black shadow hovered over me. "What the actual fuck? Your my mate?" The shadow above me spat. For some reason, I really didn't feel hurt. "Why the hell did the Moon Goddess pick you as my mate," he continued. Artelina stirred at the mention of the Moon Goddess. "You are a hideous, pathetic, and fat disgrace. I, Daniel Woods reject you, Ciara Arai as my mate and Luna of the pack. He looked at me, expecting to be begging him to accept me.
"Hey you manwhore! Don't talk to my best friend like that. In fact, you are pathetic and weak. You go have some with everything with a decent size of breasts!" Raged Rachel. Oh shit. I ran forward to protect and defend Rachel. But I was too late. She was being beat up by my pack members and David. "Noooo!" I shrieked, scrambling to go to Rachel. But Carly and her other whore held me back. Tears flowed down my face as I heard Rachel's cries of pain. "P-p please stop it! I'll do anything!" I wailed.
Once they were done and released me, I flew over to Rachel. Her hair was soaked with blood, her nose in a awkward position, legs and arms twisted. A busted lip. Black and blue bruises all over her body. I could feel her heart rate dangerously slow. "Revenge," she coughed out. "Take them down. Make.......them...pay." Her head rolled to the side. My emotions were all over the place. Furious to sadness, guilty, then determination.
They are going to get me next. They won't kill me, maybe just torture till I'm almost dead. I had to get out. Now. Whoops, I forgot one more thing. "I, Ciara Arai accept your rejection, David Woods. Now get the fuck out of my face before I chop your balls off and make your whores suck them." David was shocked at me, accepting the rejection. But then really pissed of what I said.
Taking one long, lasting look at Rachel had determination running through my veins. I flipped them the finger and ran out of the pack house and into the woods.
I had been nearly running for 2 hours and I was freaking exhausted. Till I felt the end of the territory near and the atmosphere lighter. "Fucking yes! Thanks the gods!!" I fist pumped in the air. Finally escaping that hell hole, I raised and sniffed in the air to find a no man's land.
Even my wolf, Artelina sighed and relaxed in relief. I really wished I could shift. Then, I wouldn't be shunned and be shoved down all the way to the lowest ranking level in the pack. Looking at the land, I saw a beautiful crystal clear lake. Walking over, and sitting down on the plush green grass, I glanced at myself with the reflection of the water. Blood red hair, all greasy and matted with dirt. My body was actually pretty good. Perfect size breasts, great amount of curves. Small feet, thick black eyelashes to frame my hazel-gold eyes.
I imagined my face turning into a wolf's face. I could see koi fish swimming in peace across the lake, which was decorated with lilypads.
The weirdest thing happened. Hot blazing pain coursed through my whole body.
