She pulled the trigger.
I always had thought you'd see your life flash before you and see white light or something within those lines, but all I saw was a blurry sky. I didn't even remember my knees hitting the ground, but as I stared up at the blurry stars, realization finally hit me.
I had loved him, all along. I had been lying to myself when I said I hated him. Our long walks at midnight, our rediculous fight over tv shows, the family bonfires, how we would talk for hours and hours on end, even the small things like his laugh and his warm brown eyes, I would miss them all.
Even if it was her who did this, I couldn't find it in me to blame her or to regret meeting him. I mean, her boyfriend was in love with me.
I closed my eyes tight and tried to breathe. One, I thought about his cheesy pick up lines. Two, the way he grinned every time he'd seen me. Three, his carefree laugh.
By four, the darkness had sucked me in and I knew it was over.
