As I was screaming, my mom ran in. "What's wrong?" She half shouted. I handed her the letter. She screamed and gave me a hug.

Once everything calmed down, I managed to finished reading the letter.

This is a very-sought after opportunity and we hope you will come. You will not need to bring any supplies, just bring clothes and any other miscellaneous items you might require. On the fifth of August come to the city center, where you shall be picked up.

Sincerely, The Academy

"I'm so happy for you sweetheart. But August fifth is in two days. Are you sure you can pack that fast?" I nodded. "I can start now if you want!" She looked at me with an exasperated look. "Its ten at night." I blushed. "Oh yeah. I'll start tomorrow. Goodnight mom!" I kiss her on the cheek. "Goodnight sweetie. I'm so proud of you." She gives me one last hug and leaves.

I lay down on the bed, smiling so widely my cheeks hurt.
The next morning, I rolled out of bed, grabbed my bag, and started packing. I threw in some clothes, then my favorite books, followed by my sketch book, some colored pencils, and lastly, a picture of me, mom, and dad.

Time Skip To August Fifth

"Bye mom." I said, hugging here as tightly as I could. "Goodbye sweetie. Make sure to send me a letter." "Of course I'll send you a letter. You'd kill me if I didn't." She smiled and gave me a kiss on the head. With a wave goodbye, I walked towards the city center.

The city center is a big building with fountains all around it and a landing pad on the roof, which wasn't used much considering we didn't get many visitors. Instead of the landing pad being empty like usual, their was a sleek, silver jet with the golden words 'The Academy' on the side. I suddenly felt a little light headed. Up until now, everyone had kind of seemed like a dream. Like it couldn't be true and I would wake up any second. But the sight of that jet brought it all to reality. This was really happening.

Surprisingly, I wasn't the only kid here. It was a boy I had never seen before. He had light brown hair and wire framed glasses. Like me, he was dressed semi-formally. He was packed light, also like me. He smiled nervously and waved. Smiling back (and probably looking just as nervous) I walked over to him. "Hey. My names Melody. You?" I asked. "I'm Clint. Nice to meet you. I'm guessing that you're here for the Academy?" I nodded. "I can't believe that I'm actually here. I honestly thought I was dreaming." He smiled a little. "Me too. I about passed out when I got the letter."

"Identification please." A security guard asked. Clint pulled out his letter and the guard nodded. I did the same. "Wow." I breathed out. Clint just nodded. The center usually wasn't that exciting, but today the mayor was set to impress. The floors were a polished white, and the stairs were gleaming. Not a speck of dust was on any surface. Guards were positioned in a straight line, uniforms freshly cleaned. The mayor was talking to a woman, while four other teenagers, probably 15 or sixteen, were standing to the side. None of them were talking, or even looking at each other.

"Hello. I assume you are Clint and Melody?" The woman asked, noticing us. We nodded. "Nice to meet you! I am Diana Starr, the headmaster of the Academy." My heart about stopped right then and there. The Diana Starr? Direct descendent of one of the founders of the Academy? "These are the four brightest students of our school." She said, motioning to the four stiff kids. One girl smiles a little, but the rest just keep staring ahead. "Please introduce yourselves students."

The smiling girl stepped up. She has blonde hair and blue eyes, and looks like a model.  "I'm Sarah Smith, representative of the Air element." She introduced herself with a smile. Next a goth-looking girl steps up. Her eyes are a nice orange girl, and her black clothes and hair are a tad more colorful with orange and red swirls. Its easy enough to guess what house she represents. "I'm Zillah Black, representative of the fire house." Next is the only casually dressed kid, wearing jeans and a t-shirt. His eyes are a gentle hazel color. "My name is  Michael Parker, representative of the earth house." Last is a kid dressed like Zillah in black clothes with black hair. Under his jacket is a dark blue shirt. His eyes are covered by a pair of sunglasses. "My name is Darius Black. I am the representative of the water house."

"Follow me please. I will lead you to the jet." Diana says. She walks towards the spiral stairs. followed by the four kids. Clint looks at me and shrugs. He follows, and I come soon after.

Hey guys! Thanks for reading this. I'm sorry I haven't been updating, but I just recently got Undertale installed on my computer. I finished the pacifist run, so of course I do the genocide. Why am I updating this and not playing that. Well, I CANNOT BEAT UNDYNE THE UNDYING! Any tips? I literally flipped a chair over out of frustration. Anyways, I'll try to update soon! Not like I'll be beating Undyne soon anyways...
