But then something went wrong.
We heard a gun shot. Extremely close to us.
Then, next to me, I heard something fall.
Fuck
I heard rugged breathing near my feet. I saw Kevin's laying there, still. I couldn't help but think...no. No. I need to call an ambulance. I pulled my phone out of my pocket. I dialed 911.
"Hello." They said.
"My boyfriends been shot! Get an ambulance over here NOW!" I screamed into the phone.
"Okay sir. I'll need you to tell me where you are and we'll send an ambulance over immediately."
I looked at the house we were In front of. "376 Green Tree Road, Springs City." (I completely just made up that address so I don't know if it is actually a real one or not)
"Okay. Thank you. We are sending an ambulance right now. Good bye."I hung up. Within five minutes the ambulance had shown up. They were now carrying Kevin into the ambulance on a stretcher. I asked if I could go in the ambulance with him. They said no, but to go get my car and follow them to the hospital.
Once we were at the hospital I called a few close friends of mine and Kevin's, and also family. Kirstie, Esther, and mom and dad, Scott, Mitch and Kevin's parent came. Scott was my best friend so he was trying to comfort me but nothing was working. I needed to know that Kevin was going to be okay.
After 9 1/2 hours of sitting in the waiting room, every one had gone home, and the doctors came out to talk to me. But they had bad news: Unless they found a blood donor in one hour, he wasn't going to make it. I told them to take my blood. But they said they couldn't because I had a different blood type.
I called up Scott to tell him the news. He immediately came to the hospital and he asked to talk to the doctors privately. They came out saying they had found a blood donor. But I was too tired to think anything through.
An hour later, one of the doctors came to me saying I could go see Kevin. So I went in there, with the help of the doctor practically carrying me. I saw Kevin on the bed. So peaceful. But, there was a bed next to him. In it, was Scott.
"What is he doing there?" I asked the doctor pointing at Scott.
"Oh. He was Kevin's blood donor."
"Scott...Scott that you so much." I was crying on to his chest. "He'll be okay right?" I asked.
"Yes. His body just need to make the amount of blood we just took from him, and he'll be back to normal."
"Thank god. And how long should that take?"
"He should be good to go in the morning. But Kevin on the other hand...he was shot. And he lost a lot of blood. We couldn't give him as much as he needed because if we did Scott here would...not be with us anymore. Kevin should take about three days before he's ready to just sit up. Even longer to go home." Said the doctor.
"Okay. So he'll be fine then?"
"In a week and a half to two weeks yes."
"Good thank you." I sad to the doctor. Then I turned to Kevin. He had just woken up. "Hey babe."
"Hi..." He said breathlessly.
"How're you feeling?"
"Very tired...and...out of breath."
"God I love you so much. I'm so glad I didn't loose you. I don't know what I would have done if..."
"No. Babe. Don't think about that. I'm here with you and that's all that matters." Kevin said.
I nodded. "I love you so much."
"I love you too baby."I don't even know what that was...
Anyways, I was thinking about ending this book at 25 chapters unless you all give me some ideas. So, if you want this book to continue on longer then I need some ideas and not just what ships, but like, what you want the chapters to be about.
Thank you so much for reading. I love you, and don't forget to go follow me so you'll know if I start another book!--Caroline💕
