Anna was wakened on December sixteenth by a dishiveled-looking William Moseley.
He looked so adorable with only a gray sleeping robe over a simple white v-neck shirt and pajamas. He still had sheet marks on the right side of his face, which she could only assume that he had woken up just a few minutes before her, and which she could also assume why his blonde-hair was in that messy and dishiveled state she loved so much.
And in his hands was a birthday cake with three lit candles perched on top.
"Happy birthday to you," he began to sing while approaching her still bed-sprawled figure, smiling in that attractive way of his that showed his dimples. "Happy birthday to you."
Anna's lips stretched into a smile themselves. She shoved a pillow to her face and mumbled, "I thought you forgot."
Will chuckled, sitting beside her on the bed, carefully handling the cake so the candle wouldn't go out. "Actually, I really did forgot. I only remembered this morning. I went to the bakeshop at four a.m. looking like this," he quipped sarcastically. He glanced down at his messy state, smirking.
"Really?" Anna played along, taking the pillow off her face. "And were you mobbed by your fangirls?"
"Oh, I was. They went mad with my look. One even volunteered her shower for me to use."
"Have you told them you have a shower back at the flat you live in with your girlfriend?" Anna leaned up on her elbow, eyebrows raised playfully.
"I told them that I already showered with my girlfriend," Will smirked, slowly lowering his head.
"Good," she replied.
He kissed her. It was a soft, tentative kiss. Nothing passionate. But it still sent Anna's insides into putty.
"Happy birthday, babe," Will murmured when they come up for air. The warmth of his breath tickled Anna's nose.
Anna responded by bringing his lips back to hers.
If it weren't for the birthday cake, she would've grabbed him closer. But she kept in her mind that they were three burning candles that could easily slide down from the blue icing even with just a slight tilt of the cake, so she had to rein in her emotions.
"Thanks, babe. You know," she sat up with her back to the headboard. She shoved the blanket down to her waist, exposing the navy blue shirt she was wearing which was two sizes too big. It was Will's. What could she say? She loved over-sized shirts. "I really thought you forgot. You were so quiet and mysterious these past few days that I assumed--"
"--I forgot the most important day of my girlfriend's life that I haven't missed for five years?" he supplied.
Anna pretended to think. "Actually, the most important day of my life was when I received the call that I got the Susan Pevensie part."
"Oh, right," Will nodded, his playful smile back on his lips again. "Because then you'd have an excuse to ogle at me everyday."
"No," Anna glared at him, though her hazel eyes were dancing in amusement. "Because it was the character I've always dreamed about portraying ever since I read the series."
"I know. But, come on. You've got to admit I was partly the reason." He wiggled his eyebrows.
"Dream on, Moseley."
"Mmm-kay," Will nodded, smirking, his dimple making an appearance on his cheek and Anna wanted more than anything to kissed him again and wipe that dimple off. But then, she caught a glimpse again of the three candles on the cake Will was balancing on his hands so she controlled herself.
