[Steffen P.O.V.]
‘This is it! I can feel it’ Steffen thought while he held Aiden’s hand heading inside the west coast, his heart was pounding so strong than the carnival’s ride and the butterflies never left his stomach, he held Aiden’s hand and it was a surreal feeling with the fireworks never ceasing to explode to a point where he just want to engulf Aiden in his arms, but what he’s having now is a memory Steffen could never in his life forget.
“SO what do you want to ride first?” Steffen asked Aiden who was staring at him, his lips were quite ajar but it never marred how beautiful he looks with the lights flickering above, the wind caressed his hair and it made his eyes glint with euphoria, he wondered what Aiden’s thinking right now, but Steffen can say that Aiden was having fun like him.
Aiden puckered his lips, eyes jumping from one ride to another and the excitement glint in his eyes never dimmed, “erm…. I don’t know…” Aiden said with a sigh before meeting Steffen’s eyes again, “You took me here so I will let you pick the rides” he continued as he patted Steffens shoulder.
Steffen beamed while he pulled Aiden towards him , making Aiden startledly gasped for air, Steffen grinned while he thrown his arms over Aiden’s shoulder, making the small gap between them disappear.
“I think….” Steffen said as he contemplated what kind of ride he’d take, something like a slow ride where they can talk and cherish every moment, something that makes them closer together…. ‘Ferris wheel?’ but he think it would be better that Aiden should pick the rides, besides he doesn’t know what kind of rides Aiden likes.
“I Will ride whatever you’d pick” Steffen said as he dragged Aiden towards the rides, they didn’t need any tickets, Steffen already got two and it was an unlimited ticket,
Aiden was still anticipating every rides until a very peculiar scream that was laced with joy assaulted his ears, his eyes widened at the sight of the skycoaster, “That one!” he said as he pointed his finger at it,
Steffen gulped first at the sight of a towering ride, it looks like a couple of hundred feet high but if Aiden likes it then he’d gonna ride it with him,
“Are you sure?” Steffen said but his voice quavered a tad,
“ohh~” Aiden muttered remembering how heights scares the life out of Steffen, “Well we can ride something else, let’s go” he said as he walked away but Steffen gripped his hand.
“No, let’s….let’s ride that” Steffen said, his voice still quavers but his eyes says the truth, ‘I am scared, but it would be worth it if Aiden will have the time of his life, besides, I have him right in my side so it won’t be as scary as shit’, Steffen thought still gripping Aiden’s hands.
“Steffen” Aiden sighed, “It’s okay…there’s still lots of rides out there but we----hey!!!!” Aiden was dragged into the line with Steffen right in front of him, he knows for the fact that Steffen was not kidding, at least that’s what he saw because Steffen looks dead serious.
“Look I don’t care if I’m scared….” Steffen said when they finally stopped their pace, he swirled and faced Aiden as fast as he could “…I’m scared… but I will ride it if you promise you won’t leave me” Steffen whispered and Aiden flushed, Aiden tried suppressing his giggles because he knows Steffen wasn’t lying for he knows that Steffen was really really scared of heights.
“Sure….that’s a promise…” he beamed while he nodding, it was a long line but heck the night was still young.
When they finally got into the line, they were guided right into the first seat, Steffen was as pale as a candle but he still decided to ride after seeing Aiden’s eyes, it was filled with excitement, euphoria, and he knows he want to be part of those, after all, he adores Aiden…
“Are you ready?” Aiden asked Steffen as he caressed his hands, giving Steffen the courage he needs, Steffen stared at his hands that was trembling and nodded, later he gripped Aiden’s hand when the ride started, at first it was slow when the cart was moving upward, Steffen was slowly regaining his composure but lost it all when the cart dropped so fast as a bullet, he felt like his heart was left behind, his eyes were closed but then when he opened those orbs, he saw something very unnoticeable….
He saw Aiden smiling so wide and it was such a rare sight, it never left his mind until he realized the ride was already over…
“WOOHOOOOO!!!!!! I really love that ride!!!” Aiden cried smugly while Steffen was sitting in the bench, they took a break after riding skycoaster couple of times, “Are you okay?” he asked Steffen who was looking better and better….
Steffen nodded while he beckoned his hand at Aiden, Steffen patted the cold space right beside him and Aiden nodded realizing what Steffen wants, Aiden scooted closer to Steffen and they sat while they stared at the starts high above...
“Sorry Aiden….” Steffen admitted, the idea of being so scared of heights made him feel so sorry for himself, he wanted this to be perfect and it haven’t started yet but he already failed, “I sucks…it’s just that… I’m really scared of heights”
Aiden chuckled while he used Steffen’s shoulder as his pillow, it felt soo good despite Steffen’s lean body, the air was cold but being near Steffen made it far too warm.
“I know….” Aiden muttered as he slowly faced Steffen, he studied Steffen’s eyes before beaming, “But what you did today was something you shouldn’t be sorry for, besides….you looks so cool earlier” he said and Steffen chuckled, but it was ceased when Aiden planted a kiss right into Steffen’s cheek.
Steffen was taken aback when Aiden dragged him into riding another carnival ride and another one and another and another, from Pharos’s fury into crazy mouse ride, into marry-go-round and other fun rides.
What made Steffen happier was that he was kissed by Aiden, making everything go splendid…
‘But I want to make it official!!! I know I am risking lots of things here but I can’t lose him…’ Steffen said mentally while he stared at Aiden who was playing hit-the-snake, he’s so good at it, it almost reminded Steffen of his very first date with Cc…
Aiden’s laughter….
Aiden’s fondness of sweets and rides..
It really is as if he’s Cc...
But that’s not the mainly reason why he likes Aiden, It is because for him, it felt like it was perfect… he feels good whenever he’s around… his heart feels so weightless and as if he’s sooo lucky to have Aiden near him….
He feels love….
But deep inside him, he felt like he forgotten something…Something that is very important to him…
“Aiden!!!!” Steffen called out, he wants to confess to Aiden now, he wants Aiden to know how he really feels when he’s around…
And this night is the perfect night for him to give his heart to Aiden….
